  • hi, i have been messing about with dates for days now ( joys of being a teacher means term time is out and a hubby that works away limits us to dates!)
can anyone get this deal any cheaper?
    2x adult 1x 6 yr old girl

    sat-mon (2nights-3 days) 04/06/11

    eurostar from london sp -direct

hotel Cheyenne ( reading on here this is good for kids but cheap but am happy to go to another hotel if ok for dd, on park and cheaper!!)

half board ( not sure if this is still worth doing for 2 night option)

    £897.00 all in.

tried eurostar seperatly and not sure if i am doing something wrong but seems to be £900ish??

got to the Disneyland Park at 8:40am, left our luggages at the 'Guest Storage', each suitcase (big and small) was 6 euro a piece, carry bag was 3 euro a piece. We could have left our luggages at the hotel for free but that would mean wasting at least 30min of our time and besides we had better plan in mind.

Enjoyed reading your review Oaks :D - if you go again, you can take your luggage to the luggage locker store inside the train station itself - a large locker (easily fits 2 large suitcases plus bags) is 9.50euros total for the day, and is open from early morning until 10pm each evening.

We approached our junction exit at 4.28am today after driving back from dlp to Calais, ferry crossing then a 4 hour drive back to Bristol. Beyond knackered - yes, worth it - yes!

Whole trip started off as a sun deal (£9.50) which we ended up extending to a 2 night/3 days in park trip and even then stayed a further night in a nearby campanile travel lodge style hotel (69 euros) and went into Paris to see the Eiffel Tower and experience the metro etc.

We stayed in the Kyriad hotel, outside Disneyland which was faultless. Free parking, free shuttle bus. Lovely hotel, clean, tidy, and well run.

My husband has said if we go again, he will borrow a mains/battery small fridge for your own cold drinks supply. We got caught out - and bought quite a few drinks inside the park - 2.60 euro for a 500 l bottle  but the train station shop has a 1.5ltr bottle for the same - so from day to 2 we topped up.

Actually, as other posts on here, we took extras into the park from buffet breakfast for some snacking but just accepted that some snacking would be essential and OH went to a nearby Lidl for some other stuff.

The whole trip can be as expensive or as shoe=string as you want to make it - just be prepared for a lot of shops all selling the same things at highly inflated prices. My daughter was desperate for a dressing up dress (tangled) - 59.95 euro. Of course we gave in on the last day and she was thrilled, the icing on the cake of a wonderful much appreciated trip.

The parades are lovely and the awe and wonderment on little faces is priceless.

I am quite sad to be home (although my feet are relieved) - wish we could go again soon.

If I could change anything it would be my wish that the stretch of road straight from the port to the toll areas had cats eyes at least. When we embarked last Wed night, it was foggy and the roads unlit. Not good for the nerves! As for going round the roundabouts the other way - so wrong on so many levels - I just closed my eyes! (I wasn't the driver bythe way!).

Can't wait for another opportunity to go and I would def recommend the kyriad (3 star).

glad you enjoyed your trip :)

i am the same with the roundabouts :rotfl: ( also the passenger not the driver ;))

Also, having looked at a few different sites, some are actually selling 'vouchers' which you then exchange at the gate for your ticket. Others say they are selling the actual tickets. Does anyone who has been before have any opinion on whether the vouchers would be inconvenient/a hassle? I assume the main issue is having to queue to exchange them for your actual ticket?
    nope,no hassle at all

we get there @ 9am anyway ( if opening is @ 10am) and then there are very little queues at the ticket booths :)

if you leave it later then there will possibly be longer queues, but then I guess they would open more booths!

    Great review Oaks....

We must have crossed over during our trips (we went Weds to Fri).
Probably my son banging on the wall - I had to tell him off on Friday morning for doing it.

I think we must have got lucky with the queues as we never waited longer than 20 mins for a ride, and didn't use Fast Pass at all.
Then again, there were a couple of rides, such as Crush & Parachute Drop that we decided against because of the waiting time.
The RC Racer ride also has a queue which is for "single riders", though it's not very obvious. Apparently they aren't launching that queue officially for another couple of weeks.

What is it with the Europeans and their inability to wait in a line?
I had a go at a few adults while we were waiting for rides and characters. My wife nearly got into a fight with a Portuguese woman on the bus to the hotel too....
The good thing is that the staff & characters acknowledged the kids who waited more patiently.

Also, next time you go via Eurostar, use the Disney Express option if you can. You drop the bags off on arrival at the station in France and leave them at the hotel when you check out on the last day. We didn't have to worry at all about the bags at any point during our stay.

Interestingly, Friday in the park seemed to get busier later in the day. They had some sort of promotion running where the park was open until midnight. Lots of people started to go in around 5.30 and had pink wristbands. Wasn't a private hire though as they weren't kicking people out. Did some research when we got home and apparently they do it quite regularly for locals. €20 entry fee and you get 6 1/2 hours in the park.

We're now planning out 2013 trip.....

2 adults 1 child is coming out at £225 for the direct service (4th - 6th) on the Eurostar website. The outbound leg has the 'less than 10 seats' warning, which means the price will go up when these are sold. I too am bound to school holidays both through work and children - look on the bright side, at least your half term seems to be the week after ours, which is the busy one with a bank holiday and Ascension Day in it!

Hello, wonder if anybody can help, i've booked to go to eurodisney in june (me and my 3yr dd), i've got a £60 return ferry ticket and a £35 a night hotel, now i just need to get the actual eurodisney tickets, i've been collecting tesco clubcard points as you can get a eurodisney token for £29 worth of vouchers each but is this the cheapest way of getting the tickets or can i get entrance tickets any cheaper? For example can you go into the park after a certain time and get the next day at a discounted rate? we arrive on the monday afternoon at about 4pm i was going to go straight to the hotel and then go to the park early the next day but if it works out cheaper we may go the day before and use the tesco clubcard points for something else. also because dd is only little i was only planning on spending one day at the park which areas should i make a beeline for? (my parents live in france so we may go again later on in the year if she enjoys it)

Hope somebody can help me out, thanks.

Well tesco deals will be the "cheapest" as you don't need to spend any actual cash!

They are not a great conversion rate though!

No discount for only part of the day etc i'm afraid :(

For a 3 yr old girl, you will probably spend most of your time in Fantasyland!
Buzz Lightyear in Discoveryland too is fab for all ages.also there's Toy Story playland in the studios

There are many sites to get the tickets from,we have bought from the Disneylandparis.co.uk website as they had 15% off one day hoppers

we have also used Tesco deals

    happy planning
