great! Then if me and my sister are in a queue we can park the others somewhere...so long as mum doesnt decide to wander off miles shouldnt waste too much time searching for her. haha.
not been before, went to the florida one about 15years ago for 2weeks and had a blast. going now because my little one is just turning 4 and we all happen to be in france on holiday together for the first time so seemed a good opportunity.
I am worried about my husband not enjoying it though- it will irritate me too. he says he can handle a day, but admits he doesnt quite understand what I mean by busy! will push that to one side.

i take it your husband and mum (and your 4year old) won't be going on all the rides with you? if thats the case, be sure and use their park tickets along with yours to get 2 set of fastpass tickets each for you and your sister - you will then get double the rides in.

thanks. mum had wondered if it was a blockout day because the park was at its busiest that week...and therefore we should go the previous week. i wasnt sure.
mid week is just fine for us, so tues 9th or weds 10th it is. we dont need to decide til we are over there.
mums so excited to go, as am i and my sister! my husband is apprehensive though- not a fan of ides and really hates crowds where he feels penned in or cant see what direction to go in. any tips for him??

also, final one: if some of us want to go on one thing abd the others dont is it really difficult to find eachother? what we'd love to find '(haha) would be a ride id queue at with some, next to a play area or kiddi ride for my husband and the little ones, and a shop for my mum, all really close so we knew where to find them?! but failing that is there a good way of being as a group?

Your husband might have an issue with the crowds (never been in August, but July was certainly crowded!) as it can get quite claustrophobic at times. Especially around opening/closing times and when the parades and fireworks are on - some people will literally push you out of the way. Some of the attractions can also feel a bit "penned in" Armageddon springs to mind, as once your in the attraction theres no way out until its over!

As for splitting up, its usually ok (apart from the time one of my group decided not to ride with us, wandered off and we couldnt find her for nearly an hour!) but do bare in mind that the ones left waiting could have a LONG wait for you. I waited for nearly 90 mins once while everyone else went on Crushes Coaster and it wasnt exactly fun, as you have to stay relatively near the ride exit so you dont miss each other.

thanks, I will keep trying to prep him about it. think its more the shoving and jostling. he wans to push the buggy as he finds that puts a bit of distance between him and others and gives hm somehing to focus on. will try not to scare him oo muh though, I d want him to enjoy it as much as possible!

Does anybody know how to obtain discounted tickets for August? We're there for 2 days and may not go again in the next 12 months so annual pass is not worthwhile. The best I've seen so far is the Francilien tickets on Fnac website @ 40euros for 1day 1park and 47euros for 1day 2 park.

I was there last week & it was bunged!Especially around the enterance gates but everyone was queueing at the main ones & missing the ones off to the sides!:rotfl:
In the main park the's a cinema with a McD's so we used that as a RV point if we got lost.Food's bl**dy expensive!!! Nine Euro's fifty for a cheesburger, fries & coke, Two fifty for a coffee ect
A lot of the rides have a 'Fast Track' system where you can scan your entry ticket in advance & it'll give you your ticket & a time in which you can go on the ride,so if Hub's does'nt like a ride,he can got for a coffee.
Also, you cant buy beer unless you buy a meal.
Oh and the day we were there,it was torrential rain!! Disney made a fortune selling plastic capes for eight euro's that probably cost 30c to make!

    Pushing, brings back memories.
I actually finished up telling my kids to stop being so polite.
There is a "disney elbow" - you have to walk with your elbows out to stop people pushing past, or crowding too close.

We are looking to go to dlp in Summer 2011! As a family of 2 adults and 3 chilldren which are the best value hotels for this size family? I checked out Eurostar for travel, but it would not let me book from Leeds!

it will depend on the age of your children, as to which hotels have rooms that sleep 5, but once you get above the proverbial family of 4, then the cheapest option is drive yourself, and stay at Davy Crockett (if you want to stay at a 'technically' onsite hotel)
