    Booked through RS Transport -

Thanks very much for this. I think we will book with them, they are the cheapest I've found, £75 rtn for 2 adults and 2 kids. Cheaper than the Disney coach and the TGV (even with free kids under 4).

Inspector Monkfish - how is your daughter?
  • How do I find out how much I should be paying for the TGV? I'm a little nervous about doing it alone with my daughter (who is only four). I just hope i'm not going to be like a pack horse.... I plan on travelling very light!
  • Hi, the website is http://www.tgv.co.uk/, you can check prices on the right hand side, there are different prices for different times of day. Under 4's go free and apparently you just don't "declare" them on the reservation page (i.e. just put 1 adult). I don't know how strict they are on checking ages if you wanted to risk it.....:rotfl:!

Here is a recent thread from the Disboards about the TGV, might help you decide. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2380896

    Happy planning!
  • I could do with a little help please! Have tried to read all of this very long thread for information but am struggling now!

I would like to take me, my husband and 3 children who will be aged 12, 2 and 1 (by the time we travel) to eurodisney as near to christmas as possible.

Has anyone any ideas as to whether it would be cheaper to book it all seperately (hotel, tickets etc) or as a package? If its seperately whats the cheapest way to travel for the number of us? We're happy to travel anyway.

I found a great deal through ferris coach holidays (which someone recommended on here?) but closest pick up was 140 miles away! Cant find anything closer.

    I wouldn't fancy a coach DLRP trip with a 2 and 1 year old anyway !!!

Not sure what hotels take 5 people, but I think a package would be the way to go,if you want to stay onsite
    with Eurostar etc separate

It is VERY cold near xmas though ( not to mention the queues / crowds!) not much fun for little ones :(

Disboards is fab for all info DLRP related :D

WE self drive ( eurotunnel with tesco clubcard vouchers) and stay offsite,so hopefully someone will be along to help with packages / onsite hotels
  • We've been by coach before - but only when we had the eldest son who was about 7. And although he was an angel, I cant imagine my 2 year old daughter being the same.....:) So we seem to be looking more at self drive and possibly a stopover on the way down. Any idea how I can find out the actual mileage from my home to eurodisney??

It was cold when we went last time in November but my son has always wanted to go to see it all christmassy, and give it a year or two and I doubt he'll still want to...:( and my daughter is obsessed with Santa! So it has to be when the christmas theme is on, but we will be well prepared!!!

Offsite seems to be a lot cheaper? And easier to find a room to fit us all in?

Will popover to disboards and have a nose. Thanks for that!

    Hi
I have booked ferry and day tickets to disneyland paris for me and my three children for the 5th march - originally I was just going to do it all in a oner but since live in cornwall and are doing dover calais i'm having second thoughts about all that driving on my own - also the children want to visit paris - eiffel tower etc so thinking of staying near paris (or near a station to get access into paris) on the fri and sat night!!
I'm after a fairly cheap hotel to stay in though - does anybody have any suggestions about where / how to find one?
Found the link for the late rooms but they are priced quite high at the moment - is it best to wait? (how late do I leave it? am worried about ending up without a room or paying a HUGE amount for one)???
    Thank you

we had a room at Newport Bay that had two double beds, and a cot - we are a family of 5 too

As for coach tours, under 3s usually dont get a seat, and have to be on your lap, unless you pay child price for them - buses also dont allow child car seats to be taken onboad, so it would mean that baby would have to spend all its time on someones lap, and with another toddler in tow too, that would be great fun!

with a baby, ive always found eurostar to be easiest, as its direct, and you dont have far to carry your luggage, and the chairs are wide enough that you can fit an adult and two kids across a double seat (also unlike a bus, you can walk around a bit and stretch your legs, or stand in the luggage section, and let your kids play)

I also wouldnt want to travel by plane either with two little ones in tow, due to the check-in times, and all the transfers
