Hi! I've got a question about the breakfast. I've read you can request to have it at the park instead of the hotel, is it worth it? Is the food the same as the hotel? At what time is that breakfast inside the resort?
Also: if you request just a kettle (no tea or coffee, just to make the milk for the baby), will they charge you?
Thanks.0 -
hiya im going to disney in 4 weeks and taking a fussy 5 year old, i was just wondering wether anyone can remember if any of the restaurants have plain boiled rice on there menu (probably buffet style).
we will be staying at sequoia lodge and have the free meals plan so am not too fussed where we eat aslong as we can find something for him.
thanks0 -
Just wondered what days tend to be quieter in the park?
As we're going for a week in September from 20th (Monday) Got quite a good deal staying at Key Camps and got 4 days entry for the price of 3 and total cost us £724 (four adults) including ferry, accommodation, tickets etc.
I ask about the quieter days as I did Port Aventura last year and found it quietest during the week and between 12pm and 4pm.0 -

its worth it as you get to be in the park earlier than anyone else, and food is pretty much the same - you just gotta get up a wee bit earler, so can be a bit of a rush!
we always ask for a kettle, and is always been free to borrowPlease take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

We are going to Disney for 4 days at the beginning of March. We are not staying in a Disney hotel because we are a family of 5 and our budget wouldn't stretch to staying in a "decent room" at one of the Disney hotels. We didn't want to end up with all the beds in the same room as our kids are still quite young and we didn't fancy being in bed by 8pm each evening!!!
So, we are staying at Residhome Aparthotel Val D'Europe. Does anyone have any experience of these apartments? We are getting the Eurostar in and won't have a car so will rely on shuttle services or the train to transfer us to the parks.
We have no "pre-paid" meals or vouchers and will quite happily have breakfast at our apartment, and bring some of our own snacks for the day. As I have 3 girls I will be bringing my own princess outfits with us. Does anyone have a good suggestion of what would be a reasonable amount to budget for each day - for food and drinks etc.? We'll deal with the "I want's" out of a seperate budget!!!!
Many thanks for any advice.0 -

auberge or inventions??
We enjoyed them both, if youve got girls Id go for Auberge as we saw all the princess'ss and DD was loving it there, never seen her so happy. The food was nice to but small portions. DH had lamb which he enjoyed and I had scallops with came with creamy risotto. DD had salmon which came with a pastry thing in shape of a sweet filled with some sort of veg, she was too excited to eat though. Desert was a selection of 3 minatures deserts and same for dd but she got about 5.
Inventions is all you can eat so is filling. Id say do them both if you canWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -

thank-you...
i'm liking the sound of Inventions. My eldest is 11 now, so she'll have no interest in Princesses, but 6yr old obviously will.
Foodwise, 6yr old can only eat food in liquid form due to illness (see my sig please), so i'm kinda thinking Inventions may at least have some kind of soup, yoghurt or ice-cream for her.
On the other hand, we are staying at Disneyland Hotel, and will be having breakfast in Inventions every morning, so we could get fed up with the place !! Or is that not possible??Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

I cant say we never ate breakfast here but as its different food and probably different people, not as many young children (or there wasnt when we went) which made it quieter and meant dd got more attention.
Inventions did have soup and they had a freezer with ice creams in like minnie milks, cornetts etc. They also had risotto which was very soft and really soft mashed potato if she can manage that.
Auburge had a liquid starter, looked like a drink but was veg in it, cant remember if it was for the kids or adults tho I ended up eating it but that doesnt mean much as DD was too excited to eat. This was the only liquid food they had as its a set menu I dont think theres anyway around this either.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0
