I've just found out I'm going to be working at CDG later this year. I really want to take DD to DLP but just couldn't afford it.

So, now I'm thinking - DD comes over with her Dad on Friday, can sleep in my hotel hopefully (not sure where this will be, but has to be close to CDG) and we go to DLP on Saturday. Is one day enough? I dont know if we can afford 2 day tickets.

Just need to work out whats cheaper, Eurostar - CDG or Easyjet from Luton. Roughly same cost but need to factor travel time to these departure points and cost getting to them.

Is there a bus from CDG to DLP?

from cdg airport you can get either a shuttle bus from vea, the tgv train which takes 11 minutes, the rer train (which is a train into paris and then out to dlp) or a taxi, all have their positives and negatives.

    for vea coach info http://www.vea-shuttle.co.uk/
for tgv is http://www.tgv.co.uk/ (the station at dlp is marne le valle de chessy (may be misspelled lol)
apparently the taxi depening on traffic can be between 70-100 euros each way) i would definatly recomend the tgv as it worked out as cheap as the bus and was quicker

as for getting their in the first place, if you book early enough then you can get the direct eurostar from london st pancreas to dlp itself for £59 return! which we found was cheaper than the flights to cdg from birmingham. (though you can also get eurostar direct to paris itself if you are based away from dlp)

Hi - got back last night from 3 night stay at the Explorers Hotel, Disneyland Paris. Hotel fab - but my comment for others is be aware of the price of food and drink - both in your hotels and in the park. Bottle of water (500ml) - 2 euros 50. The weather was very hot and you can imagine the water we were buying. Food - burger, chips and soft drink - about 9 - 10 euros! In our hotel our choices seemed to be 'buffet style' - for an adult around 21 euros, children 18 euros. Pizza in our hotel - hawaiian for example 10 euros. Mars Bar - 2 euros! Crisps (normal packet size) 1 euro 50. We did find a Mc Donalds, in the Disney Village (at the back on the right) which was more sensible - Happy Meal and 2 adult burger/chips/drink came to 17 euros.

For us it was the only downside - the hotel, free bus to the parks, the parks - all excellent, but we really felt ripped off with the prices of the food and drink. You're in the middle of nowhere - so there's no supermarkets to go to.

Also - prices for gifts - tshirts, cuddly toys etc - much more expensive than buying in the Disney Shops here e.g. hoodie 45 euros, medium plush toy - 15 euros +.

You will find expensive food i the norm in theme parks even over here. I woulnt expect to go to Legoland and find reasonable price food let alone disneyland paris

Talking fast food, when we went we didn't even find the food in the parks to be hot. Sometimes slightly warm/cold but was never a real hot fast meal. Most other theme parks would have atleast hot overpriced food. ;)

My recommendation, don't try the fries/nuggets/hotdog meals they sell at every location in Disney. Either wait for a proper sit down meal or go outside the disney parks.

I need some help to find a good deal for 2 adults, 1 kid (aged 4) and 1 baby (aged 1). We are looking to go during the Oct half term week for approx 4 or 5 days. We quite like Hotel Cheyenne and tried a quote between Sun to Thurs on 25-29 Oct from Disney website direct and plus Easyjet fly from Liverpool (not include transfer from CDG to DLP yet !!) for just over £1k. I also tried to quote via Eurostar for the same and cost about £1150 (haven't include time and petrol from Liverpool to London).

I have read some of the posts here... and now I'm very confused. Someone even said it is cheaper to go to Florida instead because of the exchange in Euro and the food in DLP are very expensive.

Could anyone help me a straight simple answer? Many thx in advance.

try ringing around travel agents, thomas cook, cooperative travel etc. my sister did this and they all was knocking money off to beat the other agents in the end coop managed to give her a 8% discount! plus you get dividend points too
