Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

The DLRP hotels often have character meet & greets (particularly around breakfast time) We've now been 3 times with our DDs and this time were lucky enough to stay in the Disneyland Hotel - the 'Pink Palace'. They have a lot of characters around - and not just at the Inventions buffet in the evening. However, the hotel is open to non-residents so I don't see why anyone can't pop in and do some 'meeting' - whilst we were there, no one was checking that we were actual residents. In May, there was a 'parade' down the main staircase at 4pm on Thursday and Sunday. When we watched it we saw Mickey, Donald, Chip & Dale, Goofy and the Duck in the Flying Suit, who no one remembers the name of! There was lots of interaction - dancing with the kids, autograph signing etc and it wasn't very busy. Plus in the mornings, coinciding with breakfast, outside the restaurants, near the main shop, there would be 3 or 4 characters milling around, signing autographs and having photos taken and an 'official' photo session with a character. These all seemed to change every 30 mins. My daughters are 3 and for future visits, I don't think I'll bother with the character meals - just hope to stay at the Disneyland Hotel (or pay a visit!)Predicted Net Worth 31/12/2018: -£38,898.03/-£34,616.86Target 31/12/2019: -£25,000Extra Income 2019: £1,500/£732.38Target Weight Loss 2019: -14 LBs/-2.5 LBsAs at 3/4/2019 MFiT-T5 No 490

we are considering bookinng cafe mickey for one breakfast (bearing in mind we are 2 adults in our 20s lol) and also using our hb plus voucher to pay towards auberge you think its worth it for us to do this? as auberge is expensive? also any idea how they are with parties with no kids???
Auburge is worth it if you like the princess's and the food is nice. Its really nicely laid out inside totally different experience to cafe mickey.
Book early for 12.30 as youll be 1 of the first in so will get more character attention lolWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -
Just got back from DLP so here's some thoughts:
We stayed in Hotel New York - most morning from 8.30 onwards there were meet and greets (M&Gs) for free in the foyer. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto were the main ones.
Had a breakfast at Cafe Mickey - 60 euros for a family of 4
Present were Mickey, Chip & Dale (Tic & Tac in French!!), Prince John and a scruffy cat from Pinocchio!! So not all top notch, but you do spend a little time with each. Food was OK but not special - not convinced the whole experience was worth the money, especially when better M & G's were in the hotel.
There are deals in the Village restaurants, but still very expensive. For instance Steakhouse set meal is normally 33 euros, but was 25 euros before 7.
In Studios there are M&G's in the front lot all day, but are quiet as most people are in the park. Minnie does a nice M&G by a black limo from 10.00 and the queue was small.
Good M&Gs in the afternoon around 3 between Its a Small World and the Fantasy Stage.
On the Fantasy Stage there is a Princesses M&G running for much of the day, however princesses change every ½ hour. So if Belle is there when you join the queue, it is likely it will be a different princess when you reach the front!!
Crush's Coaster - huge queues all week. We joined at 9.45 one day and still queued an hour - no idea what time the gates actually open, but get in as early as possible. Also, this ride is FAST and in the dark - saw children in tears afterwards - it is not the cute ride it is made out to be. However if you love coasters - cool dude!!
Autopia - as above get in early.
Extra Hours - if you stay on site, well worth sacrificing breakfast for. 2 extra hours from 8 - did Buzz Lightyear twice in a row with no queue, also Dumbo, Peter Pan, Orbitron and Space Mountain available (although Space Mountain was not working all week). If you are in a 2* or 3* hotel on site I think you can get a breakfast voucher to eat at the Plaza cafe in Fantasyland - well worth it once you have done the early rides.
use fast pass - really good for things like Big Thunder mountain, rock n rollercoaster etc. BTM had 75 - 90 mins queue without - fastpass gets you on in 10 mins of entering the queue.
To get down Main Street quickly after parades, fireworks etc. use the arcades either side behind the shops - great cut through.
When you buy any rides photos you will probably get a 50% off your next purchase, so maybe worth buying something small initially (12 euro key ring etc.) if you are planning bigger purchases on other rides.
Buffalo Bills are currently offering adult tickets at child prices - 16 euro saving per ticket so probably best not to book before you leave
Finally, to save money on food there is a McDonalds in the Village!!
I'll add more if I think of anything else!!0 -

Hello again,
Does anyone know if it is possible to walk from Val dEurope to the Disney Parks. If yes, how long does it take and is it safe.
Going for 6 nights in 6 weeks and 6 days time...can't wait...i feel like a kid again....at 51 years old!!!
Close, but not sure if walkable:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=disneyland%20paris&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl
It is just one stop on the RER - 5 minutes. These run until midnight.
Walking route would be (from DLP):
Avenue Paul Seramy (main road into DLPR)
Avenue Robert Schuman
Cours d l'Elbe
Cours de la Garonne
But no idea on safety, lighting etc etc.0 -

Cool cheers!!
Launchpad McQuack for his full name!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Launchpad_McQuack
Launchpad McQuack is a fictional character created by the Walt Disney Company who first appeared as Scrooge McDuck's pilot on DuckTales and later in the series Darkwing Duck as Darkwing's sidekick. He was a brave, good-hearted, if somewhat naive pilot with a spectacular history of crashing. As one of his mottos went: "If it's got wings, I can crash it!" He was voiced by Terry McGovern. He sometimes appears in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom for meet-and-greets.0 -
