how long are you going for? and have you got the half board food vouchers included if you are staying at a disney resort? as food can be very expensive in dlp as can drinks (ie hot chocolate when we went this january was 3 euros to 3.50 euros etc) and can quickly eat away into the budget. i took a mixture of cash and credit cards (changed 500 into euros, for just under a week, and that was sufficient for me, and did a lot of souvenier shopping lol!) used credit card a couple times as well.
How much spending money you take depends on the person - ie have you food vouchers included if not you will have to use money for the food then.
- what type of resturants/food places do you intend to eat - counter service fast food places/all you can eat buffets/ character meals / table service dining? as it all varies substantially in price.
- what type of souveniers if any do you intend to buy, there is the usual tat from a couple euros up to expensive art work etc in the 1000's and so on
- do you plan on drinking in the disney village or doing extras that are not included ie the nex amusement arcade, the cinema, buffalo bills wild west show, tours of the disney parks, trips into paris
- if you are not staying on disney property does the accomodation do transport to the parks, if not you need to pay for transportation.
- how are you travelling to disneyland paris, if you are flying then you will need to have money for taxi/train/bus to get from the airport (unless you book in advance)
for ideas of food prices etc this site may help http://www.dlpfoodguide.com/index.php some of the menus are a bit out of date, but gives a rough idea (and for anyone going the site accepts submissions of photos of up to date menus)MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -

We're going for 4 days. We'll probably do a mixture of meals at fast food places and possibly planet hollywood one day. I probably won't be buying loads of gifts. Probably some Ears and a toy or something. We're staying in the hotel E'Elysee and we get the bus included apparently. breakfast is also included. We're going by Eurostar so it takes us pretty much to the park and hotel.
Thankyou for the site though!!!

I've been trying to find a break in Disneyland Paris for my family of five ( 2 Adults 3 Kids) and finding it very hard to find cheap or any accommadation anywhere apart from the Davey Crockett Ranch. Most of the Hotels on site only cater for 2 adults and 2 children. I would like to know if anyone else has been with a family of five and stayed anywhere else and is easy to get transfer on to the park itself. I am thinking of going by Eurostar so having transport to and from park could be a problem.0

The Explorers hotel accomodates 5 people. We got a room with a double bed and 2 singles and an ajoining room with bunk beds. Its a nice hotel to stay in too with fresh fruit at breakfast unlike a lot of the others0

Another good tip is to buy the Brit Guide to Disneyland Paris. It is £6.99 on Amazon. The inside back cover includes a voucher for 20% off the total bill at Planet Hollywood. The book itself has some excellent tips, and reviews of rides etc., restaurants etc, and with the prices at Planet Hollywood 15 euros + for main courses, it will pay for itself with one meal. Our voucher in our book wasn’t ‘cancelled out’ when we used the voucher, so in theory could be used again. PH are keyed up for this as the receipt actual had Brit Guide as the discount reason printed next to the 20%
