    Hi,

This is the first time we have visited DLP and were looking for a little advice from more experienced visitors. We are flying into CDG on the Sunday night and back home on the Thursday night but we have not yet booked transfers, what is the cheapest/best way for us to get to Eurodisney please?

    Paul

We have just got back and used the RER train service for all transfers. It's situated at Terminal 2E at CDG airport and is very well signposted, just follow the signs for trains to Paris which are also in English. You can use the green ticket machines to buy your ticket or join the huge queue to buy from a real person. If you choose to use the machines it's a lot quicker but do make sure you're buying the right ticket as we found it very confusing. I found this site and this site really helpful in getting my head round the different ticket and travel systems before I went.

  • Any help appreciated, or anyone in the same boat!?

Booked entire trip, train and Disney hotel, via Eurostar website as it was much, much cheaper than Disney direct.

However, having read this thread, wanted to upgrade us to half-board but Disney reservations say they can't do this for us as we haven't booked via them, while Eurostar reservations can't do it as it's not an option Disney provide them with!!!

I realise we can sort this out when we get there, but wanted to try and remove most of the hassle before we travelled!

I'd also heard that Disney have now removed The Lucky Nugget from the list of half-board plus eateries - does anyone know if this is correct as we saw this as a cheap way of getting some character dining for 3 year old!

    Cheers

I was also thinking of going in early May for about 4 nights. rtw123...what kind of deals have you found and where would I get the best price for going by Eurostar for 2 adults, 1 child + 1 infant?

Hi, i contacted Disney regarding the Lucky nugget as they advrtising it as half board plus until Nov 09 and they have sent an email back saying it is still included, also someone just got back and said its still included.

Unless eurostar can add it for you I dont think you will be able to add it though.

we went in aug last yr,and it really wasn't that bad
and no where near as bad as our dec trip! for queues / crowds OR wait times

yes there are crowds, queues BUT the longer opening hours, nicer weather ,fireworks etc makes up for that

you could always head to the parks early for EMH ,spend a few hours there
then go back to hotel / the village mid afternoon while its really busy

freshen up / have a nap etc !

then go back to the parks early evening ish :)

with planning and use of EMH and fastpass it doesn't have to be that bad :)

I have bought some extra fastpass tickets off ebay as we are going in Aug - should help us to make the most of it.

I am worried about buying tgv train tickets in advance in case our flight is late but I am also worried about arriving there and the trains being full because its Aug.
  • Thanks for the info re Lucky Nugget FloFlo. Managed to speak to someone at Eurostar who used to work at DLP!

He's suggested I try again with Disney a week prior to our trip so will have a go then.

    AceT,

We're also going early May and shopped around before booking.

We found Eurostar, direct via their website, were cheaper than anywhere else when booking the train and Disney hotel together. The package includes the breakfast and park tickets - was at least £200 cheaper than the same package on DLP website.
  • Sorry, should have also mentioned that you get cashback using Eurostar via Quidco.

When we booked it was a set percentage, but appears to have changed as follows:

    Eurostar - £6.50 per ticket
Eurostar Planet - £9 per booking

EP is basically their travel agency arm and they debit the Eurostar train tickets separately.

This could mean upto a further £15.50 off of your booking, or more, depending on how the Quidco works for multiple travellers.
