thanks
Phone Disney direct as I believe the page on the Disney website regarding booking with a pass is only in French.0 -
Im concerned as disney reservations are insistent you cant pay in advance only book a table. Maybe shes charged you a booking fee for booking the table? Whatever shes charged you for it wont be the meal apparently. Maybe half board vouchers?
Well, it seems your contact at Disney reservations is not telling you the truth !!
Just got back from 5 fantastic days at DLP, and those meals i pre-booked before i went were all fine (apart from the shockingly rude awful usual service in Cafe Mickey !!)
I paid £64 before I went for 2 family of 4 Dinners in Cafe Mickey, and 1 lunch in Lucky Nugget.
So glad i did, as the Cafe Mickey dinners would have been EUR 90, and the Lucky Nugget would have been EUR 94 if i had paid whilst out there!!
Have to say, it was the busiest i have ever seen it, in 10 years of going! We usually go the same week every year.
So much for a global recession !!!Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

i can get a return transfer for 6 of us for £160 and it just seems a bit too cheap and you pay up front, don't want to end up stranded. Many thanks.0 -
There is a list on the Disboards of the various companies...

well you were so incessant that i was in the wrong, just had to point out that i wasn't !!
no time to wade through 6 pages of waffle !!
we actually changed one of the evening meals in cafe mickey, to a lunch at lucky nugget as the service in CM was so shockingly bad!
they have covered in the outside verandah part, so they now get extra tables in the winter also.
imagine 20 extra tables that need serving, but no extra chracters and no extra staff - it was awful !!Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

Im skint and really shouldnt be looking at DLP but i really would like to take DS. When i went through the DPL website, it quoted me £906 for the two of us for 2 nights. Surley it can be done cheaper. I dont drive so the hotel would have to be close and being picky i really wanted to stay at a disney hotel. Any tips for other websites? As this thread is huge!

Well it was a bit cheaper than I thought as the price for 6 of us is 160 euro. Just booked on line and asked if I can pay in cash when I arrive. Got a telephone call 10 mins later saying no problem. Told me where the driver will be standing, asked if I needed child seats, seems very professional If for any reason they don't turn up I will go for the TGV. Will report back next weekmustbemoreorganised wrote: »Going on Wednesday and can't decide between the TGV and a shuttle. Has anyone used these people, they are called trans network.

Hello everyone
I’m afraid we didn't have our usual excellent experience at DLP last week. This was the fourth year in a row that we (a family of four) have stayed for 4 days in February and the first time I’ve had cause to complain. The main issue was the frequent ride closures we experienced over our stay. Without going into laborious detail, we experienced numerous problems:
Buzz Lightyear shut for two lengthy periods
Indiana Jones shut most of the first two days
Big Thunder Mountain shut for various periods
Peter Pan shut from 8.30am to 9.15ish on one day (despite being one of the few rides open in the “extra hours” promotion)
Phantom Manor shut for various periods
Crush’s Coaster shut most of Friday morning
Rock and Roller Coaster shut Friday morning
Animagique performance curtailed (Friday again - ran out of things we could do so went back to the main park!)
Various FastPass machine closures/faults
In addition to these rides that we found shut, the noticeboards were showing other rides shut at other times. When the two rollercoasters in the Studio park were shut together, the queues on the other rides and attractions were obviously enormous. When Indiana Jones and Big Thunder Mountain were both closed together, it effectively closed most of one side of the park for major rides and pushed large numbers of people onto other rides such as Space Mountain.
We did complain and were issued with a pass for a ride of our choice which we used to good effect but it was small consolation to two 8-year-olds who had walked back and forth for three days to rides that were shut.
I can accept that very technical rides occasionally go wrong and that they are closed for safety reasons. It does arouse suspicions that perhaps they are not maintained as well as they might be to reduce costs – I know other theme parks are closing rides or running on reduced capacity to reduce maintenance costs in the current economic climate. It was certainly a poor experience this year compared to the previous three trips. I can only remember Big Thunder Mountain being closed occasionally for short periods on other visits.
We are going to very carefully consider whether we visit next year. I hope that we were just unlucky but the ride closures, in conjunction with noticeably fewer parades and Lion King being dropped make me wonder if DLP are cutting costs. I hope not because we have had three excellent holidays there and have recommended many relatives and friends.
6/10 Disney - must do better.0
