  • thank-you

crikey though, thats £180 or £148

    is it really THAT good??

When you say it like that then it really is a lot of money for a show, however think of a london show ie Grease, cheapest tickets £35 so that would be £140 for 4 tickets without a meal!!! But saying this, if we were taking my daughters (16 and 13) with us this time we wouldnt be able to afford it, my girls are not coming with us as they are going away next week with their dad and have been to Disney 3 times as well as Disney in Florida, so they not missing out lol.
  • we are looking to book for march & i have been considering the Newport Bay, now i have read people saying its more money & we wont use the facilties, i am now considering a cheraper option.
can anyone recommend please? we want to go half board, 2 adults, 2 children & 1 infant, was thinking possible Cheyenne?
    please help?

I have only ever stayed at Santa Fe, have no quibbles about staying there again, I would rather more money to spend in the parks than on the hotel, make sure your infant is under 2 when you go or else you will need 2 rooms and then the price flies up lol, when we all went they supplied a travel cot for my son and my girls shared a double bed, although they do have bunk beds in some rooms.

right so you didnt like the Santa Fe?!!

our infant is over 2, but when i price up for all 5 of us it doesnt give us 2 rooms, now i am confused:confused:
    mummy to 3 monsters!
trying to money save, but spot too many bargains on here!!
  • Over 2, but is he/she 3? if not then still classed as an infant up until 3rd birthday, I know that Newport Bay has family rooms that sleep 5 as we tried to book one two christmas ago but were sold out. Was told then that we would have to have two rooms as the others only slept 4 with either two double beds or double bed and bunk beds.

you probably need to book into Davy Crockett
i always use this contact of mine, and i know she recently found a great deal for a colleague of mine who has 4 kids and needed a bigger room...

no harm in getting a quote from her......

My tips would be go to the esso garage for drinks (for refilling your small bottles), there is a supermarket one train stop from the resort (never been though) and people load up on shopping from there because its 'normal' prices.

If your kids are expecting gifts etc from there, let them buy one but take disney store stuff from here with you as it will work out SO MUCH cheaper.

If you feel up to it take some of the breakfast for snacks lol we never did this the other wk but done it before no problems...loads of people do it and don't hide the fact!

Use any early morning passes you may get.

There is a play area for kids in pizza planet, we spent 2 hours there!lol

At the parade I found the best place was where the floats first came out but along abit, the princesses came off the float and danced right next to us, they do this near the castle too but its packed there! Get your kids to wear outfits or head gear or fancy hats....the characters will come over to them and make a fuss! We had a lot of character interaction! Maybe your 11 won't fancy that but hey you got a 3 year old..my 3 year old loved his head gear lol

Do not jump queues as you WILL get told off by the CMs, I was so happy to see this, the last times were pathetic with queue jumpers! (but I know you're not like this anyway lol)

Its worth seeing the characters at your hotel in the mornings...less people!

Can't think of anything else really haha! maybe get an autograph book beforeyou go or a note pad for stalking the characters, the prices are mad over there IMO.

Above all have a great time, I'm obsessed with the place, my house resembles the disney store ...

I loved the way that at the Cheyenne Hotel, instead of saying 'next please' at the reception area the CMs shouted 'yeehaaaaaaa' at you!:rotfl: :T

    ok I'm going now....

    happy holidays xxxxxxx

There is an amazing dlp forum called disboards .... pop in!lol Scroll down abit and you will see the disney paris bit....its addictive though!haha!
