How many of you are there? A taxi from the airport cost us 76 euros for 4 of us.
The RER TGV are slightly different, but you don't need to worry about that, one is the national line, the other is the paris one. ( Like british rail and the london underground!) I used this site to book my tickets.
    http://www.raileurope.co.uk/
We went from hotel to airport rather than the other way round as we flew in late at night and had to get a taxi, but it's very easy.

I've tried the raileurope site a few times, just says can't find any journeys for dates/times requested, I put the dates in and just morning & afternoon rather than times, still no luck.
If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in :D
  • I have recently been looking for a trip to DLP for myself and my daughter around xmas time (hubby will be serving the country elsewhere in the world), and found the cheapest website for me is the eurostar website.
It comes up with some fab hotels, especially the holiday inn at disney,if anyone has any experiences of this hotel I would really appreciate it if you would let me know.
    Thank you,
    Kerry

Can you order just a birthday cake in cafe mickeys? our son's bd is a few days after we return but we intend to surprise him by bringing it forward whilst we are there, any tips on best value an more important BEST CAKE, if we don't finish cake are we allowed to take it away with us?

Did any1 have any info on the cake thing? also can you get your breakfas slot when you drop your bags off or only at official check in?

  • About the cake, I read on a review site about the cake being like a meringue based pavalova so maybe est to check this out, there was a mention of a chocolate cake but it had to be served at breakfast, I will find the review and post it, that may be of some help to you. Kerry x
  • Hi flowerscotland

There are a few cash machines at dlp, the easiest to find are under cover in the arcades to the left and right of main st in the main theme park, having said that I've been loads of times and walked straight past the one in the right hand arcade last month - somehow I thought it was further in than it was!

Spending depends on a couple of things really. If you are staying at a disney hotel I think that breakfast in the park AS LATE AS POSSIBLE is a good way of having a brunch, rather than having a breakfast and a lunch (and since the breakfast is included in the price it doesn't cost you anything extra) just remember to book it at the check in desk when you arrive. If you are staying off park you might be near to a supermarket, and it is possible to take a light pic-nic into the park. Your bags are checked but not for food, I say light simply cos you don't want to lug heavy bags around! There is supermarket in the railway station where you can buy drinks and snacks relatively cheaply to take into the park. Some of the food outlets can be expensive but I think the all you can eat buffets are good value, I'd say as a treat for one night (from memory I think Plaza Gardens is about 25 euros for adults). Otherwise, the meal deals are usually good value, we buy 3 between 4 of us and there is always enough.

;) I don't recommend this but ..... if you are staying at a hotel with a breakfast buffet I know some people help themselves to a mid-morning snack to go (but you didn't hear that from me.....);)

Have fun and say hi to Mickey.
If anything I say starts to make sense, PANIC!

The cake is a chocolate cake, the dlp website gives you some info if you go to the faq's page, under Step 1 "Visiting with children", Step 2 "How can we celebrate a birthday at DLP". We have only done this once, at Cafe Mickey when my nephew was (I think) 5 years old, it was one of the funniest (briefly frightening) experiences - nephew went so white we thought he was going to faint with shock, it took him a couple of minutes to relax, the characters were amazing with him. What I want to know is... well I'm someone's child, can I have a birthday cake too peeellleeeeaaaassssseeeeeee.:rotfl:

  • Thank you,
If we book a birthday at cafe mickey would we have to share it with other familys?

we are planning on gong to auchan to get some snacks and things so may pick up a cake there and decorate hotel room whilst he is sleeping with balloons and things but not sure how we would dish up cake etc.
It's not his birthday till after we get back but because of the under 7 offer these were the closest dates we could get ( I got told off by head teacher yesterday).
oooooo getting so excited now, just ordered our hol money as well........
