Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Just to ad to this thread - I've been saving clubcard for Disney and you can't do it now so we will put them towards Florida in 2009. The Eurostar you can only get tickets into Paris, not to Disneyland Paris, lots of restrictions on them so check. We took the kids last time,no seats - I'd not recommend this at all - it's a long time to have them on your lap or jumping around the carriage and I'd get a seat next time and pay for it. if you book with an agent do it 3 months before as this is when the seats are released to them and you can get the best train offers. we got a free 1st class upgrade last time. Might be worth looking to book with expedia or the like as well as there are some good offers. basically shop around for a good few days and look on the website - Xmas is a good time to go but avoid French Bank Holidays at all costs - we could not even get in and gave up, went for lunch and then went in for the afternoon to get on 2 rides all day. A whole day wasted in my opinion!!0

can't you use the tesco vouchers to go to disney paris with Leger?0

Just saw this message - you can, but only by coach so you lose 2 days on travelling and on the last day you have to go on a day trip into Paris or something. We don't want to take the kids by coach but by Eurostar.
Leger are stopping their offers now. it has been removed from the deals book. The website states that if saving your vouchers and booking with them you must book by 30th September and be home by 31st December. It does however state you can only have the luxury coach option and you are limited to how many nights you can stay. For example, we wanted to go on 4th, get to Disney in the afternoon, have the afternoon, mon, tues, all day Weds and come home in evening with Eurostar. With Leger you get picked up on 4th, get there Sunday night so get mon, tues in the park and then weds is the Paris trip before coming home. That is 1 1/2 lost days and for the same price. We will pay for it ourselves and as I said, use the money towards Florida (again) and hope they are still running Deals with Virgin in a couple of years time.0 -

Can you not use them off your travel still and just get the disney bus from paris???0 -
No, I want to go 1st Class (or Leisure Select) it does not really cost that much more and you get more room for the kids. Also means you can't use the Disney check in which means they take your cases to the hotel for you from the station. I don't mind paying the extra to get a better deal. You can only get tickets to the value of £99 or less on the clubcard scheme so you are very limited to when you can travel and at what times.
The point of using the direct service is that you get to leave your cases have the afternoon and then the full day when you leave without faffing around with luggage. Don't mind paying extra for that.
Best time to book is when Eurostar release their tickets for the free leisure Select upgrade which is around 4 months before you wish to travel.0 -
Does any body know if the parks and rides etc are open on Christmas Day, their website is not showing opening times for beyond NovemberI haven't got one!0

it's open all year round and if you are planning to stay in the davy crocket then don't take a turkey as there are no ovens in the cabins0

We stsyed over Christmas 2 years ago and it was fab. We booked a character lunch at the Lucky Nugget Saloon for xmas lunch and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. Make any meal reservation from Uk BEFORE you go so you are not disappointed over the Xmas period. Xmas day was okay but Boxing Day was really busy. Hope you have a fantastic time !0

I am going on monday to disneyland via CDG airport. I'm not arriving until after 7pm, and I need to get back for a 9-45am flight on friday.
The shuttle bus times are too late/early for these times. Can anyone make a suggestion?
Is the TGV any good? I think i've seen 8-30pm and 7-30am times at £70 return - do I need to book or can I get tickets at the airport? Is it easy to get to the station (T2?) from T1?:beer:0 -

We were there last week. Whilst hanging around for the shuttle bus we bumped into a couple of others, which gave us a party of six. Then a mini-bus driver came over and took us to Disneyland for the same price as the shuttle (but quicker.)
Hope you have a great time.Today is the first day of the rest of your life0
