I second the Davy Crockett suggestion. It's essentially a posh caravan park, but the best equipped and most comfy caravans I've stayed in. However, it does have its own pool complex and other activities and it's quite nice to come away from the full-on park experience to somewhere a bit more laid back every now and then! We were very disappointed by the food (and coffee!)in EuroDisney so self-catering was another plus. You do have to drive from Davy Crockett to the theme park so not sure it would work with Eurostar.
Also, we may have just been lucky but we went in August and the park was not very busy, we were told that was becaue the local French holidaymakers all headed south at that time of year and went to EuroDisney at other times. My daughter (10 at the time) had a complete blast e.g. we went on Space Mountain 4 times in a row without queueing! There was plenty to do for the youngsters as well and D. Crockett was better than many caravan sites we've stayed on, even without the attractions of EuroDisney!Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!0 -
Davy Crockett sounds great. I will definitely look into it. Maybe the ferry would be a better option then.0

Thanks Karren - getting excited now!!! Sounds like I have made up my mind. As long as the kids aren't too young then I think the decision has been made!!

Hi,
Having looked through previous threads, it would appear that the best options of getting from Charles de Gaulle to Disneyland Paris are either the VEA shuttle bus or the TGV.
The TGV seems to be faster and only slightly more expensive and on the face of it seems the better option.
My questions are:
1. I know the cost of the VEA. Can anyone advise the cost of the TGV for 2 adults and two children aged 6 & 7?
2. How easy are each to find at the airport?
3. Am I missing anything else important?
4. Does anyone have a recommendation?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.Today is the first day of the rest of your life0 -
I've just checked the cheapest ticket (without railcard) leaving at short notice on th eSNCF website and it comes up with €33.40 each way, €66.80 return which is £45.04 return for the 4 of you. The price depends on the time of day and the train you choose.
I've never used the service though.

Hi, I am trying to find the best deal to Disneyland Paris in August. 2 adults 3 Children (7,9,11) 3 nights departing 24th August Half board preferably staying on site, i would like to fly as that would give us more time at the resort, flying from any london airport or can travel to airport if needed. Please help with best sites or numbers to get good deals from.

Can anyone suggest the cheapest/easiest way to get from over here to one of the campsites on the outskirts of Paris without having to drive? 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We live a long way from Dover but can drive there if necessary.
Thanks0 -
I've been to Disneyland Paris a couple of times now. First of all I would suggest you look at travelling through the Port of Portsmouth to Caen (Britanny Ferries) rather than the Dover/Calais route. Its a shorter drive and the motorway network is excellent. Also, you may save a few pounds on your ferry crossing by using www.cheaperferries.com.
As for the accomodation, we stayed in both the Newport Bay Hotel and the Sequoia Lodge. Of the two, we much preferred the light and airy Newport Bay. It seemed so much more upmarket and as your previous replies have mentioned Disney always seem to have offers on for the off-peak periods.
At Disney there are plenty of things to do including the new attractions this year Cars Race Rally and Crushes Coaster. You can view more details of the attractions together with the latest available special offers at
