Hi guys,
Just curious about the price of meals at the park. I have had a look online but some of the meals look very expensive - 20 euors for a burger!! I dont mind these prices for a meal but 20 euros for a burger seem excessive - In addition to this all the kids meals seem to be burgers!
Can anybody who has been recently recommend which restaurants to visit - Like I said, I have looked online but everything seems to be burgers and pizza's.
That's about right. Best options for veg etc are the buffets.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

When we go, we normally fill up on breakfast, make a few butties with the continental breakfast for the day, if we want a drink we normally go the newsagents in the train station and just buy a big bottle, or fill up some bottles with juice at breakfast. This saves us alot of money so getting a good meal at night rather than worry about how much is being spent
this then just leaves dinner, which is either buffet or burgers and pizzas mainly in the park, but there is alot of choice outside of the park aswell0 -

if you don't have a separate flight reference, I think its around 10 days prior to departure you get your flight details from DLP, but I'd phone them and check that (I've always booked my flights myself).0 -

where are you seeing 20 euros for a burger in counter service restaurants (because those are the ones that are mostly burgers and pizza)?
If you want burgers, theres a McDonalds in the Village which is cheaper than the park counter service restaurants. Theres also an Earl of Sandwich in the Village for wraps, hot and cold sandwiches etc. In the parks, the counter service which isn't burgers and pizza are Toad Hall (fish and chips), Fuente del Oro (mexican), Last Chance Cafe and Cowboy Cookout (chicken strips, roast chicken, ribs), Victorias, Market House Deli, Caseys, Cable Car bakehouse (deli/sandwiches/croque monsieur/hot dogs etc etc).
Have you had a look at DLPguide.com for their restaurant menus section, both counter service and table/buffet service? That will give you a better idea.0 -
Hiya I'm hoping to book this weekend for next November 16th with the 2 nights free offer.
Is it ok to book through disneyland paris direct as I see you can book with a deposit on there rather than full amount outright?
Also will he park be quiet that week?
Many thanks!
If you phone the official DLP site phone number, you can book with a deposit with them too, and thats what I'd do, because then if a better deal comes out for your dates once you have booked, you can upgrade through the official DLP site without paying any amendment or cancellation fees.
If your dates are all midweek, then yes, it will a lovely quiet week at DLP.

We go to Disneyland Paris on 20th December for 3 nights. We have meal plus vouchers and I understand that we can book the restaurants of our choice now (as under 60 days until we are there!). I am finding it difficult to imagine when we would want to eat this far in advance. Do you think it would be worth booking now because it will be busy and we might not get to eat where we would like to or would it be OK to wait until we arrive to book restaurants. We have never done a meal plan before so not sure what would be best. Think we want to do Cafe Mickey, Hunters Grill (as we are staying in the Sequoia) and one other - not quite sure which one yet.
Also is it better to book for lunch or dinner - which is less busy or are they all the same.
Thanks in advance x0 -

Don't wait until you arrive, you are going at a very busy time to DLP, and if you want to eat in any table or buffet restaurant without queueing for a table, phone to book your tables in advance (you don't need to do it right now but do it at least 2 weeks before you check in).
Lunch or dinner isn't going to make much difference when you are there, so choose which time would suit you best to have your main meal of the day, and book it for then.0 -
Thanks balletshoes for the advice last week.
We arrived home early hours this morning after a fantastic weekend at DLP.
I would definitely recommend booking half board if you can, especially if staying at the Santa Fe - the food was gorgeous!
We managed with having breakfast, making sandwiches for lunch (with snacks of crisps, cereal bars etc as extra) and having dinner at about 6pm ish. The all-you-can-eat buffet at the Santa Fe was amazing, and we were lucky with getting a table pretty quickly. If we had watched the parades, if would have been a different story as the queue was really long when we came out of the restaurant.
As we had half board, we didn't spend any extra on food (the added bonus of a voucher for each night we were staying for a "teatime treat" - consisting of a hot/cold drink & cake really helped too).
The kids had more money to spend on over-priced gifts for themselves and family, so they were happy!
The only downside about the whole trip was when we decided to venture on a trip to find the local supermarket. We found there were no signposts (that we could see anyway) and ending up lost
My advice, prepare before you go for that!
All-in-all, an amazing weekend and lots of precious memories madeThanks to all posters :A0 -

I heard they were stopping people from taking breakfast out of the restaurant at Santa fe this weekend, and that they were rationing ham! Sounds like you bypassed that!!!Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0
