We have used the Disney bus, the TGV and a taxi and to be honest the easiest way was the TGV.
Disney bus took over 2hrs to get to our hotel, taxi got stuck in traffic and took just over an hour and the TGV took 10mins and the station is right next to where you catch the bus to your hotel. Only down side to the TGV is the rail strikes, they always seem to be on strike!
I've just booked seats for October on the TGV and it was £81 return for 2 adults and a 4 year old. No deals to be had for the time I'm travelling but I have seen fares half the price I paid. Also, children under 4 don't need to pay and my daughter turns 4 in September!
The Disney bus is €16 per person each way and a taxi one way will cost about €80. There is also the shuttle services which if there are a few of you can be very reasonable but if only 1 - 4 of you they are about €130 return.
Hope this helps someone.0 -

Was either me looking in the wrong place on Quidco or has just this minute showed up.
Either way I'm chuffed.
Many thanks, arealbasketcase. Means I'm getting the whole thing (half board included) for under £600. Means we should have some decent spending money by the time we get there...0 -
Hi Jimmy, so now you can spend hours studying the map and working out a plan of action, just to make sure you don't miss anything. Keep your eye on the site for the up-to-date times for shows and attractions, the site has a pdf file that you can download so that you can plan your days.
My nephew used to have every minute of every day planned out for us whenever we took him (he's too old at the moment to think Disney is cool, and too young to go with his mates for a laugh!!). He had it all organised, it would begin something like:
day 1: winnie the pooh, show for nana (he's always been a thoughtful soul and did think of the others in the group), pirates, thunder mountain, eat...
day 2: breakfast in park, peter pan, snow white, small world, pirates (stay on if no queue)...
I bet you think I'm joking but I'm not. It never seemed to work quite as he planned but we would spend the flight there going over his list none the less.
Make sure you pack those comfy shoes................

We are going to France at the end of August and were thinking of adding a day onto our trip to visit Disney. Can't really afford to stay on site and we are looking for a basic hotel with family rooms somewhere close by ish. (2 adults, 3 kids 9,5 and 1) Willing to travel in on metro.
Any suggestions?:rolleyes:0 -

Jules, you'll be surprised at how much it costs to stay in the hotel as kids stay and play for free at the moment. Got to www.disneylandparis.co.uk and check the hotels link at the top of the page and you'll get some prices. be patient and wait for the calendar to load though else it'll keep on chucking you out. I got us into Sequoia Lodge (which is mid Range) for £110 a night for 2 adults and 2 kids (3 and 4) with breakfast and entrance hopper tickets. Have a look before you disregard it as I *think* that by staying one night you'll get entrance tickets to both parks for 2 days (the day you arrive and leave) and so you will save on the entrance fee alone by staying there. I know we did.
HTH.
PS. Don't forget Quidco for DisneylandParis website0 -
I am with the planning too!! Get the best rides in early save waiting in queues and make the most of the time you are there. Have fun.0

Hi, we're going to Disneyland Paris 20-23rd December staying at The Tulip Inn, Marne La Vallee.
I'm really keen to get character meals/shows/restaraunts booked in advance if at all possible but am struggling to find out how to do this.
Can anyone help/advise........is it a bit early yet?
Many thanks
No, book these now, log onto www.disneylandparis.co.uk website and you can find more info about the character meals and then call them on the number on the website. They are really helpful and really nice and you should be able to book then. We tried to book charachter meals and could not as they were full - the earlier the better!!0 -
Hi Emweaver
When we got the bus we were staying at the Hotel New York, train we were at Explorers Hotel, and Explorers with the taxi too.
Another tip, if you are wanting to get the Disney bus and are staying at one of the Disney offsite hotels (Explorers especially), check the bus schedule as it doesn't pick up and drop off there all the time. Sometimes you have to get off at the bus terminals and change onto the free Disney hotel buses.0
