they are never discounted by disney themselves, but if you find someone who has an AP present at DLP when you want to buy yours, you can get 10% sponsorship discount.0 -
Ok, any thoughts for us?
Looking to go to Disneyland Paris next year for about a week.
We are 2 adults and 4 children (will be 5, 7, 8/9, 11).
Looks to me like we can't get a hotel room to sleep us all, and we can't guarantee getting adjoining rooms, or even rooms near by, until we get there. Don't want to be split up, so we're looking at Davy Crockett Ranch. (Any other suggestions?)
Current deal of 2 nights free on a 4-6 night stay means going for 7 nights would be crazy. Have got a price of £1887 for August 23rd-29th, which includes upgrade to a premium bungalow which gives the children a bed each.
Pretty happy with that price.
But would we get a better offer if we wait? Presumably no-one knows what offers are coming up? But does anyone know what sorts of offers they have? Does it get much better than this?
Also looking to get the half board meal plan option. We'd be eating at least one meal there each day and with that you get "free" breakfast at Davy Crockett. But can't book that yet. I'm told, however, that we can add it to a booking later on with no penalty.
So, any reason not to book Davy Crockett now for the date and price above? Or do people think we can do better?0 -

i would say wait - earlier this year the offer changed to 30% off, free half board meal plan, and under 12s free, for August dates. As most of your party is aged 7 or over, there are better ways of booking if you wait.
eta - Davy Crockett ranch has no transfers to and from the parks, so is really only suitable if you are driving.0 -

As it happens, we've to Davy Crockett a couple of times, but a good few years ago.
With small children (two of them the first time and three the second) we wanted the extra space of the caravan-type accomodation you get there rather than just a hotel room.
Having been there before is one reason why we were looking for something different this time. But don't really mind, Davy Crockett is lovely.
Driving to Paris is fine. We drove home from the Pyrenees in one day last month. [Yes, with all 4 (beautifully behaved) children in the car and, no, with no in-car DVD players!]0 -
Hi,
I am looking to book for 2 adults and 2 children for 3 nights on the 20th December. I was looking at buying the annual passports (planning on going in 2015 too) and staying at Hotel Golden Tulip. I will be driving down from Calais.
Any advise on buying the annual passes would be greatly received? I assume I have to buy these directly at the park? I can no longer buy these on the French discount sites?
Has anyone stayed at the Golden Tulip and are there any there any other non Disney Hotels recommended? I had thought about buying the annual tickets and getting a discount at a Disney Hotel but that won't work if I can only buy the passports at the park?
Also - is this passport discount at Hotels worth it?
Any advise greatly received.
Cheers

thats right, you can't book any of the annual passes through the French discount sites anymore, its far easier to just buy them at the gates of the parks at DLP.

no - I don't know any AP holder who has got a good deal using AP discount in the last 3 or 4 years, as the AP discount is off the full rate room price, which is set stupidly high to start with.
Any advise greatly received.
Cheers
Dave
my one suggestion before you book everything this way, is to look at the French version of the official DLP site, and the UK version, for one adult (and any free kids - so for the UK site kids under 7 are free in December, on the French site kids under 12 are free). How old are your children?
If, for example, you found a good price for a one-adult package at the Santa Fe or Cheyenne hotels on the DLP sites, and they included both your children free in the price, you'd only have to buy one AP for the other adult, and that adult can be added to the room at check-in for local taxes only (ie 2 or 3 euros per night). AP holders do this all the time at DLP onsite (I'll be doing it myself in December this year).
eta - try to avoid weekends if at all possible at DLP - its always much busier at DLP on Saturdays and Sundays, compared to weekends, even in school holidays you notice a difference. Saturday check-in always increases the prices of the hotels too. Your Saturday 20th is also the start of French school holidays, so you might find, if you can, that checking in on Friday 19th will reduce your price.0 -
Hi,
I posted a few weeks back but had to change my travel dates from 30 March to 1 April because of the ridiculous Eurostar prices for that date.
I'm looking to book 2 rooms at Cheyenne from 1 April for 4 nights.
Room 1: 2 Adults 2 Kids (7 and 6)
Room 2: 2 Adults 1 kid (3)
Current prices I have are:
Disneyland official - £1,580
Magic Breaks - £1,500
Travel Empire - £1,420
These are all under the 2 nights free deal which ends next month.
My questions are:
Whether these are fair prices or will better deals come up?
April dates are not available on French website. When do they go on sale?
Thanks in advance.0 -
Thanks loads for that. I checked the prices on the French site and they are much cheaper. My children are 2 and 8 so they both go free too.
I was initially thinking of visiting 21/12 - 24/12 (£500) but noticed the price is far cheaper if I go between 11/12 - 14/12 (£250). I understand they both touch the weekend period, but I'm guessing we'd get more done 11/12 due to school holidays.
Thanks again for your reply.0 -

the 13th and 14th are actually the cheaper AP pass blockout dates (which don't apply to you if you are staying onsite and using an AP) so that weekend will actually be the quietest of all in December this year
