    Hi everyone, another question. After doing lots of research we like the look of the Sequoia and am drawn to the golden forest upgrade, it costs an extra £102 for the time we are hoping to stay (will book as advised closer to December). The reasons it appeals is the character breakfast which will save time in the park, you get a separate area to eat breakfast so less of a scrum and you get a lounge with free drinks so figured it makes it a bit more cost effective getting 4 days of free drinks but is it worth it? At the moment it is coming out at about £937 with half board and no travel, on the dlp site. What can we realistically hope to get it down to if we wait until October and is the Golden Forest upgrade likely to get sold out? The prices are for either Monday 8th-12th or 15-19th December but can do Nov, ideally we want to get the cost down to under £1000 for the trip, travel, food and maybe a bit of spending money.

    unfortunately, as from 12th november this year, there will be no characters in any of the onsite hotels, which means golden forest will no longer have a character breakfast.

    That's a shame, thank you. So not so much benefit in the upgrade then.

    Ok so I have looked and think getting a hotel outside of the park will be cheaper and just purchasing the tickets for 4 days in the two parks. I am looking to stop in Feb half term which will be Sat 14th- Fri 19th. I have found a hotel Adagio Marne La Vallee d'europe which is £394 for 2 adults and 3 kids for those dates, flights from Manchester £471.70. Cheapest way to get park tickets 3 days for price of 4 = £675. So that's a total of £1540. The questions I have are;
    1. Will we need to hire a car, there is a complimentary shuttle to park from hotel so won't need it for that but on the other days we will want to take the kids somewhere so what will be cheaper/easier? Car hire is £226 for that week.
    2. What will be the cheapest way to eat while we are there. Breakfast is not provided by the hotel but they do offer a continental one for a charge but can't find the price of this anywhere?? Was thinking if this was reasonable price we could fill up on that in morning and that could do us till dinner time, but are their family friendly places to eat in Paris that will be cheap enough?

    Any other things I may not have thought of, please point them out. Also would it make it cheaper to travel on the Monday and just go Mon-Fri instead? :huh:

    so do you want a whole week in the area? What else were you planning to do apart from Disney?

    If you're going for the whole week is there any particular reason you don't want to just take your car with you from the UK and drive over, using the Eurotunnel? That way all your travel, including crossing, fuel and tolls would come to less than £300.

    In February, 4 nights and 4 or 5 days at DLP will be more than enough :).

    Ourselves and sone friends have booked to go at the end of July (arriving Monday afternoon, Departing Friday morning) and were thinking of getting Annual passes for the whole party (5 adults and 4 children, all under 11).

    Is there any way of getting discounted Annual passes? I recall someone saying they bought some off ebay?

    thanks

    That is a blow - why the decision I wonder, cost perhaps? I'm sure the little ones used to love seeing them in the hotels, takes away a bit of the magic in my book! Shame on you!

    Annual passes have a photo on so buying / using someone else's AP runs the risk of being caught by a CSM at the gate, it is also fraud. I'd stay well clear of buying off eBay.

    You can get a discount on 5 AP for the same address at the booking office, 20% I believe without looking.

    Not sure if there are any offers on via the French resellers, BalletShoes may well be able to answer as she is hot on all things DLRP.
