Hi,
Just a quick question, does anyone have the number I need to call Eurostar to find out when December dates will be released?
Thank you.0 -

the number is 08448 224777 - I'd be interested in the reply myself, my friend is planning an early Feb 2015 trip.0 -
Having only ever stayed at Davy Crocketts and more recently Disneyland Hotel, we haven't needed to use a shuttle bus before. Staying at Santa Fe shortly and would like to know if they really are as ghastly/busy/no-queuing-just-a-riot (you get the idea) as they sound? Do most of you walk to/from the parks when staying on-site or do you brave the shuttles?

Yes they are ghastly ~ nobody queues and everyone just pushes on and off.
i have done, and do, walk from the santa fe ~ in pleasant weather its a nice walk. i have always taken the shuttle back at the end of the park day. i have a system though with young children and i think if i had a child in a buggy i wouldnt even attempt the shuttle bus!0 -
Thanks balletshoes, in that case I think we will be walking then. Might 'try' to try and get on one but won't hold my breath!"Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it": Ferris Bueller

Thank you. I've just phoned them and he said he couldn't even give me an estimate of when they will be released yet but said if I sign up to the newsletter it will inform of release dates coming on there so if I do receive anything from that I will post on here. Looks like I'm checking daily for now though!0 -

We walk from the Santa Fe and get the bus back too. Legs too tired after a day at the parks ! Not really had too many problems though, you just have to stand your ground and keep hold of any childrens hands !0 -

I put the kids on the bus right in front of me, with my hand on the closest child's shoulder (they hold hands so we don't lose anyone). As long as you realise that no-one queues, then I think thats half the battle with the shuttle buses.0 -
Hiya Balletshoes and Clare, me again lol.
I know that this is a subject for another forum, so understand if this convo does not go in-depth but as you've been to dlp so many times I thought it would be worth asking you......
How do you manage your money/spending when at dlp? Do you take euros, use a debit card or one of those prepay money cards maybe?
We've not been out of the UK for years so have no idea how the cheapest way to spend our money is. One thing I do remember is that we got a better rate for our british money when we exchanged it in spain, than what we got for the sterling we exchanged at home before we left. Have you ever exchanged money in dlp? Is there anywhere onsite that does it and if so are the rates any good in your experience?
I dont like carrying too much cash so was just planning on taking our debit card (dont have credit cards), but buying our Buffalo Bill tickets off the french dlp website in euros has given me an eye opener into how much our bank charges for non UK purchases
They charge 2.75% on every £1 spent/exchanged and a fee on every transaction. One option is to keep transactions to a minimum, but the 2.75% will still apply to everything we spend anyway. Can you register your card at your hotels desk and charge park purchases to your room for them to all be charged as one big transaction at the end of your stay?
Anyone got any tips or ideas?
TIAx

if you don't want to carry a lot of cash, take your debit card and register it when you check in at your hotel. You can have all your purchases at the stores and restaurants charged to your room, and when your spends reach a certain limit (the hotel will tell you) then they will make the charge to your bank for that amount. If you don't reach the limit, your bank will be charged when you check out. You will need a little cash though, as some of the stalls in the parks don't take cards/debit options.
I take some cash (euros - the exchange rate is rubbish at DLP and there are only a couple of places to change money anyway), and my debit card. If for any reason I need cash while at DLP, I use the atms in the park, but not in dribs and drabs, I'd take out enough to last me the rest of the trip, so I'm only stung with one transaction fee.0
