  • Flights are £235 for the 3 of us so not bad, but we got to get to the airport plus get to DLP when we land which is £80 return on the rail Europe website

Eurostar £348 plus cab to kings cross and back, roughly £50

Euro tunnel £120 plus petrol tolls and a lot of hassle , lol

Just booked a couple of 1 day tickets online through Fnac @ 39 euros each (weekend). Was given a booking ref but where do I collect the tickets from? Alternatively can i print the tickets at home? Logged into fnac.com but can't find any option to print tickets.

We'll be taking our car to DLP, where is the best place to park? I read somewhere its cheaper and easier to park at the disney village multistorey (8 euros a day), is this correct?

    Thanks

what dates is it for? The official DLP site usually has among the best offers.
It's 23 Oct. also, I've tried to find how much the wifi is on the admirals floor and i can't seem to find anything. Some say its free, but the travel agent I'm dealing with says there is a charge but she can't find them. I'm considering buying a data only SIM card you see. Thank you:)

23rd October this year? Yes, probably not going to be a great deal for onsite hotels for that time of year, as its French school holidays.

Instead of Newport Bay Club, have you considered the Hotel New York or Sequoia Lodge? The Newport Bay Club is more of a summer-suitable hotel in my opinion.

I believe you can get wifi free on the Admirals floor, but I'm not 100% sure, as DLP hotels are on a rolling programme to get wifi. Its nowhere near finished yet unfortunately.

  • Dear Balletshoes,

Once again, thank you very much for all the effort you put into helping us all. I am sure it's safe to say we all feel more in control of our gateways due to your massive knowledge.
I would just like to kindly ask you please, if you could give some advice on dinning in DLP as we're 2 adults, 2 kids (2 and 4) with big appetites :) Being our first time in DLP we would really like to try the nice restaurants but not spend a fortune. We will be driving there, so we will bring some snacks and drinks. If you could please recommend some nice sandwich/hot dog places maybe for lunch and a restaurant for dinner would be very much appreciated. Also when it comes to dinner, we would like to go before/after the parade, do you think we should do it before rather than after to avoid cues and co? By the way, we will be staying at Davy's and breakfast will not be included (maybe you have any tips on a nice place for brunch or so). What would be realistic to think we will spend per day, you know, when it comes to food?
    Thanking you in advance.

for lunch you have several options - my favourite is in the Village, Earl of Sandwich. They do kids meals, and they are very reasonable for DLP prices. Or, you could pop into the train station on your way into the parks in the morning and pick up a sandwich and drinks etc from the convenience store there (the one with the best choice is the Relay/Casino store, you'll see it at the end of the walkway to your left if you go into the train station from the entrance nearest the park gates). If you choose to eat in the parks, in the Studios the best place is Blockbuster Cafe for value, and in the main park it really depends what you like, loads of choice and as kids meals are almost the same size as adult ones at DLP, buy kids meals for you all and see how you get on.
For dinner, the Davy Crockett buffet, I've heard, is very nice. Cafe Mickey can be cheapish, if you don't buy kids meals/adult meals, but buy a couple of pizzas to share between you all. At lunch and dinner, this has the advantage of being a character meal, so you get value for your money if you do this :).

I believe the parade is now on at 5pm -

which is 4pm UK time, so eating dinner before the parade might be a bit early?

Annettes in the Village does a brunch between 9am and 1pm every day, and you can also pick up food from McDonalds from 9am too. Also, you can pay to eat breakfast in the any of the onsite hotels, you don't have to be a guest of the hotel. My favourite is the Disneyland Hotel, it serves breakfast/brunch every morning from 7.30am to 11am, but the Hotel New York does it too, and it, like the Disneyland Hotel, has hot and cold breakfast items, full buffet style at the Hotel New York and Disneyland Hotel, so you can eat as much as you like.

Have a look at the DLRPMagic menus site, you will get an idea of the kind of food, and prices, that are currently being charged at DLP :).
  • Thank you so very much Balletshoes, you're a star. I do not know how else to "repay" your kindness, other than say a huge "thank you" from us all. And if there is something you can think about, please let me know. Maybe if you want to visit Edinburgh one day I could be of some help :) It would be my pleasure!
We will go kids meals ourselves and try all that you recommended. I am sure it is going to be fantastic! The Earl of Sandwich sounds wonderful, very exciting! Oh my, and regarding the parade, thank you for telling me it is at 5 :) as I thought it was at 7. We will of course have dinner after the parade! Thank you so much! Pfff I am over the moon as we are going in 3 days :) Have a lovely weekend! :)
