BE AWARE... Aimee Skin Care Anti Aging

Options
I signed up to what I mistakenly thought was a free trial for Aimee anti age cream.

The product arrived in a plan envelope with no invoice or company information on the bottle.

I thought nothing more about it until today when I checked my bank online.

2 Payment have ben taken out for £89 each in the last 3 days in 2 different company names (international associated with this company.

The bank says there is nothing I can do about it but have stopped future payments.

I just wanted to make people aware and see if anybody else had come across this unpleasant type company.

PLEASE BE AWARE....Read the small print.

Just found the web site (http://skincareanti-aging.com) which says:

    What SkinCareAnti-Aging.com Does Not Do?
    Customer Service
    Manufacturing
    Accept Credit Card
    Process Credit Card Transactions

    Accept Returns

It Is a central site for many companies

    You are not alone.

Aimee Cosmetics Ltd, Pure Nutra Limited , Advanced Nutra Health Limited, CCLabs USA Ltd, Aimee Skincare Ltd, etc, all get a mention on this thread:

Personally I wouldn't put anything on my face unless it was a recognised brand, and from a reputable source. Lots of reports of counterfeit cosmetic products with very dangerous, banned ingredients causing skin reactions and long-term damage.

Probably better to PM a Board Guide to get this thread moved rather than a new one created. :)
  • I too fell for the "free sample just pay postage" link on FB. I have gotten nowhere with two phone calls and emails "they can't help because they need a tracking number and it won't be available until my trial is over" quote from customer service. I have cancelled my Credit Card, bank were most helpful. I did get a response from 0800 206 1568. She had my order but couldn't cancel. I have to ring again on the 7th August
  • I too fell for it on FB. I thought it was a free trial, it was not when I noticed on the email I received it said 'subscription'. I had to delve into the 'terms and conditions' to find out what it was about. I rang immediately to cancel and was told to ring back on a certain date to cancel even though I was quite adamant I didn't want it. I was told to ring back on the 5th August but forgot, I rang on the 8th but was tol I was too late and they had already taken 2 lots of £89.95 out of my bank account! £180 for 2 little pots of cream!!! I was and am furious, it's a scam, why couldn't they cancel when I first rung?
The lady on the phone as a 'favour' sai she could refund half the charge - wow!
    BEWARE!!!

Stop giving bank details away for these free trials, could be gunk in the cream which could do more harm than good to the skin or not even do anything for your skin.

I thought I was clued up, but today I have just fallen and been ripped off. I thought I was getting a free sample and only paying for the postage. No where when you click on for the free sample do they say you are signed up for £89.+ in 30 days. YES they do state it in there terms and conditions but that is right at the bottom of a very very long page, and not mentioned at all in connection with the so called free sample. I only realised when I read it at the bottom of the receipt in very fine print. I telephoned them immediately to cancel told them I did not want the product, but they would NOT accept my cancellation, even though I have told them they can keep the postage, which they had already taken. I have since phoned my card company who have said they will claim back any monies that Aimee try to take with a £40. charge. I have since phoned the firm again only to be told I have to apply for a returns number in 14 days. This is nothing more than scam selling and needs to be stopped.
  • I have also been scammed by this company. They said on the phone (when I eventually got through) that I would have read their terms and conditions before I got to the payment page. Well I certainly didn't tick anything
