Deleted_User - we would never judge you, none of us are in a position to. I know what you mean about the eyeshadows, my stash is massive in that area too. A while ago I mentioned on here about the project panning community on Youtube and it really helped some people, they are a group of mainly American ladies who are working on getting their eyeshadow stashes down, some for you to check out if you are interested are PrettyPistol86, AmberF, you should find others from there.

Several of us have the candle problem too. I am going to start mentioning my candles in my uu's so people can get a little review on those too, I have recently finished:

Yankee Candle Beach Flowers - this was a small jar and it burnt down evenly and smelt nice but not a strong scent throw. WNBA

SpaceNK Vetiver Cedar - this was bought half price, it is a lovely white jar which lights up when lit, this was a masculine fragrance but very nice, strong with a good scent throw. WMBA at half price only though.

Just UU'ed Clinique Body Scrub. This was a freebie for spending a certain amount and I had it for a while. It normally costs £19 I think. It is a good scrub but for half the price, I can get equally nice ones.

Your list is spectacular... As much as I need to get my stash down I can't help but also have a few pangs of jealousy!! If I had the space trust me mine would be almost as long as yours :rotfl:

I have 1 UU this morning

    4. The body shop olive body scrub. This smelled divine, WMBA when the body shop are having their usual sales. As always though my stash is far too large to repurchase immediately.

Over a month now since I have set foot inside boots :) am feeling on the road to curing my addiction.

This is my HG product. I felt exactly like you and one time when I didn't want to spend the money on IBST I bought a Nivea toner from the supermarket. I applied that to one half and what I had left of the IBST to the other half and I really could tell the difference. Don't even contemplate buying anything else now.

Speaking of LE there is a TSV coming up on Saturday and I may get it. Need to check in the stash what I have tonight and of course it all depends on price but it is a good kit. Is styled as a home and away kit so has full and mini sizes of C&P (200ml as well), IBST (with spritzer bottle) and moisturiser. Also has full sized Eyebright and travel sizes of shampoo and conditioner. I don't really care for these last three products however if the price of this kit is lower than the usual esentials price on LE.com I'll probably get it.

Hi Valm, that sounds like a really good idea. Now I am considering buying the Liz Earle again just so i can test the results :rotfl:

I have never bought anything on qvc... So was not sure what a TSV was....am both intrigued and terrified :) I think I need to stay strong for another 2-3 months before I even allow myself a glance at that Channel!!

  • Two more UUs for me today!

    3. VO5 Hot OIl Treatment. Found this lurking in my stash, no idea which kind it is as no markings on the little tubey thing and I cant even remember using the other two so it must be pretty old! It didn't feel conditioning at all when I slapped it on but now my hair is drying it feels lovely and soft! WMBA if I knew which one it was!

    4. Lush Montalbano Shampoo Bar. I've been using this as body soap as my hair didn't like it, smells AMAZING, all lemony and fresh and lovely! Won't buy again but would buy a body wash or a soap that smells the same!

Having a busy, but somewhat relaxing weekend, hope everyone's having a good weekend:-)
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales
  • Thanks dolly84! I have heard of the project panning but not looked into it properly. Eyeshadows are so tricky because its not like body lotion where you can slather on more than normal to use it up. I think it's not so much the quantity I have in general that's ridiculous but the number of ones that are almost identical shades. As for the candles. That's slightly worse than usual because I went to Ikea so stocked up. I had that SpaceNK vetiver cedar candle! I got it in the sales and I loved it. Bit gutted they don't sell it any more.

Hi emma-6584! Don't be jealous, it's stressing me out at the moment! Problem with makeup is that it doesn't take up much room. All of mine fits in two drawers. Luckily I don't wear nail polish or proper lip products - just balm. Almost all the lip & nail makeup I have came from beauty boxes, which incidentally have not been a good thing to have discovered. I only buy them if I know what I'm getting now.

I have a question for everyone: how would you say your stash is split between high end, midrange and high street? I have hardly any high end, most of my skincare is mid range and most make up is high street.
Hope you're having a great weekend!

FINALLY got a UU - probably my first in about a year. And even then it's a sample!! :rotfl:

UU Chanel Hydra Beauty Gel Creme 5ml sample. Got this for free from a friend when I used to work as a beauty counter girl. WMBA, it smells nice and does a good job but I'm not so sure on the texture - or the price!

Another UU - MAC Lady Danger lipstick. I have two for some reason so I chopped one up to use in a lipstick palette to sell. The tube will go to MAC on the back2mac scheme for a free lippie (and so the cycle continues....)

Deleted_User, I would say 90% of my items are high end. Almost entirely from Estee Lauder Group brands - mostly MAC. As mentioned I used to work with them so got a serious discount on the stuff - I have a bit of a lipstick obsession and used to get MAC or Lauder lipsticks for £5. Once they run out I will probably use mostly drugstore stuff.

Oh but I also have to declare a heck of a lot of INs:

1 TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer highlight powder
1 Becca Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector
    1 LimeCrime Pansy liquid lipstick
4 MAC lipsticks various shades - to be used to make lipstick palette to sell, then empty tubes to be recycled for a free lipstick at MAC
8 (yes 8!) Kiko eyeshadows - all 8 intended to be either sold on or given as gifts, but I maaaay keep one.
3 homemade highlight/blush powders purchased from a friend.
1 NYX lip liner. Bought on Amazon using the remains of a voucher - been eyeing up MAC Whirl but this is almost a perfect dupe for less than half the price.
1 Birchbox, which I signed up for to see what the hype is about - WNBA. Not impressed. It contained -
    1 Cowshed Blissful Body Lotion
1 weird lip crayon thingy from a brand I've never heard of before and don't remember the name of.
1 Beauty Co hair conditioner leave in spray.
1 Pecksniffs perfume sample. Gave away to my sister immediately. Ick!
1 BeautyBlender sponge. Received free with Birchbox.

and then another Birchbox, because I didn't cancel fast enough, containing -
    1 Cowshed hand cream
1 Benefit Dream Screen - LOVE this and WMBA if can get a good deal on it because it's so pricey
    1 Aloe Vera gel
1 Balance Me Congested Skin lotion. Listed this up for sale as I prefer my Elemis SOS cream.
1 Pop Beauty eyeshadow trio. Listed up for sale but it looks cheap and tacky so not sure anyone will purchase.

A quick list of products I want to use up - dear god please don't judge, I have problems!!

    Lips -

1 Sweet Mint EOS balm (they're my favourite)
1 Baby lips, cherry - I had all of them but either gave them away or threw them away.

    Face -
    2 x open MAC foundations.
1 x half used Estee Lauder Double Wear that I don't like.
1 x half used Bobbi Brown that's too light for me now.
3 x Smashbox face primers - 3 different types. However I now use Nivea for Men balm to prime so not really sure when I'll ever use this up!

    Eyes -
I think 3 open mascaras at the moment:
    1 x no7 Lash Sensation
1 x MAC False Lashes Waterproof - trying to persevere and finish this one but I hate it!
1 x L'Oreal So Haute or something like that - purple tube

1 x MAC Super Slick liquid liner. Used to be HG but I started using a L'Oreal one that has a much finer nib and is much easier to apply.
1 x L'Oreal Super Liner. HG, wba but does run out much faster than the MAC one!

    Skin -
1 x Origins United State toner. Not a big fan because it stings but over halfway through now.
1 x Biotherm Biosource toner. HG in winter but too moisturising for now!
1 x Lancome eye serum, not sure what the name is but it's got a funny applicator. Free sample.
1 x Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair. HG, WBA but it's so expensive :(

    Body -
Cowshed Blissful Body Lotion small size received in Birchbox. Lovely, WMBA but it's very expensive and I have a lot of other body lotions!
Dove Maximum Protection cream roll on deodorant. WBA, does the job.

  • These are June ins but I forgot to go on at the time. It was an offer on serums etc.
Superdrug B glycolic cleanser - I'm so impressed with this. It was under £4 and came with a cloth. Using it once a week has massively improved my dry skin. My skin looks much more alive and its reduced the fine lines between my eyebrows love it
Superdrug optimum anti acing night serum concentrate - on offer and is for when my boots one is finished
B radiant rejuvenating day serum - not started this yet again it's for when my boots one is used up

Hair - spot the 3 for 2 offer
John Freda sea salt spray - I love this so far
    John Freda go blonder shampoo
    John Freda go blonder conditioner
then travel minis 2 x of the shampoo and 1 x conditioner - nearly used one of these already when I was away
UU 2 x soap and glory shampoo minis - was ok nothing special

UU - lush 1 x aobs and I've already got another one in. My favourite cleanser

UU 1 x rimmel powder that I've had for about a million years
In 1 x MUA powder. I'm going to give this a go. I tried a collection one and whilst the colour is pale it leaves your skin looking quite patchy

In 1 x rimmel matte bb cream in very light as nearly used one up. Highly recommend if you are pale as hell and only want a light coverage for summer
I will finish one at some point this month

In Barry M concealer - I quite like this

Really fed up that I can't get collection lasting perfection. Shade 1 is like gold dust. Superdrug said its because of beauty bloggers the teens buy them all the day they cone in. Drives me mad as its one of the few high street concealer so sufficiently pale for me

UU ALdi serum - not keen

In - collection lipstick in cafe au lait
I think I've used up a s&g mini gloss this month

I'm about to buy my first shower gel in 6 months
