Sold a load of stuff yesterday, and a few bits today.
I insist on getting paid by BT though, one of yesterdays sales was a collection, but matey paid up front so that solves the non collection/time waster problem.
Gumtree is pretty well dead now, even the late night phone calls from loons and scammers have dried up.
Sorry if I sounded irritated, I had been sitting here like a lemon waiting for these people and they didn't even bother to contact me, but waited for me to ask them where they were.
I'd thought facebook had got a bit better, I had a few successful pick ups and was lulled into a force sense of security.
Also- for the person who sent me a PM about their company - you missed the whole point of facebook selling- it isn't about using a cheap and unheard of escrow service that is guaranteed to be cheaper than my current provider, it is about selling for free. Also this bit of your spam intrigues meWe not only guarantee that you will be paid 100% (so eradicating all the frauds AND no-shows), but we also guarantee that your buyer will also get everything they were promised, or their money back - so your sales are enhanced.
If you are giving 100% guarantees to both buyer and seller I suspect your funds will run out pretty quickly.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I've picked up a loon stalker from FB, but other than that it seems to be going ok, good way to drive people to the website too, even if it does look like I'm spamming the groups.
I even managed to sell something on Gumtree, 4 hours late for collection, but coughed up and went away happy.Also- for the person who sent me a PM about their company - you missed the whole point of facebook selling- it isn't about using a cheap and unheard of escrow service that is guaranteed to be cheaper than my current provider, it is about selling for free. Also this bit of your spam intrigues me
I had one of them, why get paid with BT when you can use an escrow service nobody has ever heard of..."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Interestingly, when you try to delete a selling post, Facebook asks you if it has or has not sold. Anyone know why?0
