Try Jodi Taylor 'The Chronicles of St Mary's' series.

She has a new book published today writing as Isabella Barclay.

If people like humorous fantasy I recommend Ben Aaranovitch's Rivers of London series.

I don't get what it was about the rivers of london series. I read the first one and to be honest I have no idea what I read! I must have misread it or something I thought it was so bad lol
    The Wool Triology

I second the Wool Trilogy though!

I read the fourth yesterday, I just think they're really well written, very funny, and have some very astute social commentary hidden amongst them.

I second this! Read it at Christmas. I've bought a few more Neil Gaimans and I'm looking forward to them.

Child 44, The Secret Speech and Agent 6 by Tom Rob Smith. Superb reads.
