Using onecompare
I hvae been out of contract with Vodafone for a whil now, originally I paid £12.50 for 125 xnet mins and 250 texts + vodafone stop the clock.
They have never phoned me up to do any offers juts put my price plan upto £20 pm under same terms.........I haven't been in touch with them yet to renew my contract so wonder why the price went up?
I am a newbie when itr comes to mobiles so have been following Matins guide and gone to one compare to see best deal i could get for my usuage but I'm afraid I don't understand it.
When I put in my details it comes up with apparently a free phone and free line rental after cashback and a direct debit of £30 per month as the top deals.
My question.how can i apparently get a phone and 12 month contract for free?
and how when my usuage is so low is it suggesting I go on a £30 per month contract?
Pleaase Help!!

You are not out of contract, only the minimum term of it. They put your price up because you couldn't be bothered/ forgot to negotiate a better deal.
Basically cashback deals are everywhere. The companies adopt shady ways of rejecting your claims.
I have got a cashback contract that gives me 4 times the amount of minutes and texts that I need, in 8 months I have never got close to using my alowance.
They do not offer 12 months free with 12 months cashback on sub £30 contracts that I'm aware of, so if you can afford it, £30+ is your only option.
Get a stiff drink and read up on the threads on this site on the joys of claiming your moneyback. Try the threads on:

Thanks for your reply..........it seems a lot of hassle going the cashback route and presumably you can't keep your current phone number ?
I am sure I am out of contract and will be ringing up to see what sort of deal I can get. like I siad this was my first monthly contract so I am not really up on the ins an outs but am reading up quickly on the links you provided:)Starting MB- looking for Raf offers.

First off you can port your number from one network to another using a PAC code.
Second, I think TheSaint is implying you are still under contract because network operators use rolling contracts whereby unless you explicitly state you no longer want their services they just sign you up automatically. Although I really can't see how that is remotely legal.
Anyway, cashback deals are the best thing since sliced bread IF AND ONLY IF you are an extremely thorough and patient person. If you can't keep track of your claims or keep your mobile phone bill paid up steer well clear of cashback deals.
If on the other hand you are good with your finances and always keep track of everything and you have tonnes of patience cashback deals will
1. Give you a free top of the range handset
2. Give you 100's of Xnet minutes and texts
3. You'll get it all for FREE
4. Using Quidco you'll actually make money
But you do have to be very diligent when dealing with these offers.0 -

You're welcome
You are not "Out of contract" trust meYou will have to give 30? days notice.
In 9 out of 10 cases, you can keep your current number, but it makes a hard process even harder to keep on top of.
I would read the the 1st 3/4 pages and the last 3/4 pages of the threads I gave a link to as a minimum. I read the 3 separate threads on The Mobile Outlet over the weekend, just to refresh my memory.
Ask on the relevant threads for any assistance, the people are really friendly and will help you out.
If you pop up on 'The Mobile Outlet' thread we may meet again
Good luck :AWell life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0
