getting a few bargains doesn't make you a vulture! I would have definately got the persons name & reported her straight away.
Although she didn't make the coment she didn't need to agree with the customer.
My worst experience ( not staff ) was in Asda a couple of Xmas's ago it upset me so much.
I was shopping with my little my children & my little girl then 4 was walking, my Son was in the trolley, it was quite busy, so I said to my little girl "darling, be careful because people are not looking where they are going" (remark not pointed at anyone, or meaning anything by it, but as she's small & they were all looking at the shelves, didn't want her to get hurt )
This old fish wife piped up to me really aggressively " I am looking where I'm F@ck@@g going you f@ck@@ng b*tch" I was so shocked & quite scared by it & just kept out of her way. Don't worry about it! lol I know when it comes to the reduction section, most of us are vultures! I know I am.0

some people behave like right idiots when things are reduced and if i worked in a shop im sure that i would very quickly get annoyed when being hassled as i was trying to reduce things. the OP obviously is one of the 'i deserve something for nothing' brigade despite the fact that if he/she pushes it someone will probably get disciplined over it. i only hope that someone complains about yourself over something so petty one day and you can post a thread telling us all how it went0

every day i see people grabbing things off people doing reductions. why not just stand back and let them do their job and then go and have a look at whats been reduced? even hovering about is very annoying to the person doing reductions as they are constantly wondering when this vulture will swoop? what item(s) are they waiting for? remember, they are dealing with this EVERYDAY and sometimes with a lot of people all doing the same thing.
I did do like this. However, there were several times that items I watched have been taken (by others) while I was waiting. Some customers even took the reduced items from the hand of the price controller. Once I can't bear with this. So I told the lady who grabbed it before me politely that I was waiting until she (worker) finished and I was after this one. What she did was giving a dirty look, threw it to my basket, and told me that waiting is wasting.
I like all bargains. Always check the reduced shelf when I visit the store. I have to pay my university for the international fee for over £9,000 a year. So if any MSEs see some international students looking at the reduced shelf, please be kind as it might be me.:rotfl:0 -

My DD came home from uni this weekend, and was telling me she had gone to Asda ( as I had taught her;) ) at 3.30pm on Sunday, and kept a weather eye out for the reduction sa - but couldn't get near the fridge because of two elderly ladies who had their trollies parked blocking the entire fridge from any one else.
Foul play I say !!
Share and share alike.
I have given her some tactics to try next time......in the mean time I have stocked up her fridge and freezer with my bargains - as any good old mother bag would.
Wish I could help you all out, young and old alike, if anyone spots a Nora Batty look alike blocking their way, just give me a dig in the ribs - I am so blind I won't have seen you  !!0 -
Well that means i'm a vulture as well then, I often hang about the reduced aisle, while they reduce some goods.
Must save at least £10 a week, reduced fruit, bread, cakes, etc! What Happened To Summer!?

I do buy reduced items but I always leave the person doing the reduction alone.
I scout around the shop for what ever else I want and then come back to see if they have finished reducing the items I am interested in.
I often get loaves of decent bread for 10p .
I feel sorry for the person doing the reductions. I too have seen things being snatched from staffs hand. And the same two people in every night buying a trolley load of reduced goods I know I am sad haunting a supermarket night after night but I had my reasons:D

I work in a supermarket, and do the reductions on many things. There is a few people that come up every single evening with a rotisserie chicken, asking me to reduce it, I have now stopped doing so, saying they are not being reduced and waiting till they have left the store.
The other day, near closing, someone found some dairy cakes in a stand alone fridge, and wanted them reduced, wind got round and suddenly about 10 people appeared, all wanting cakes at 75% off. I said whatever is in that fridge there with todays date I'll do, boy, was there a big rush :rotfl:routing round checking all the dates :rotfl:0
