Number 5 NSD is here to play! Amazing what working all day can do!

So, Igor, Tuesday night is your stag night which gives you a few days to recover. Tatty' s hen do is Wednesday night. Thursday night Mrs Doyle has asked us all to a tea and cakes party, during which she will read the cards and the tea leaves, so we can all find out what the future holds. Friday is the wedding rehearsal then the big day itself is Saturday, ooh how exciting! Must check my shoe collection and decide on the footwear to go with my outfit.

Popping in to report on my month so far...

1st. Several household D/Debits, so a spend day
2nd. Allowable spends only, so NSD #1
3rd. Allowable spends only, so NSD #2
4th. Allowable spends only, so NSD #3
5th. Another 3 DVDs ordered making it a spend day. Alfred Hitchc0ck season 2 dropped to a very affordable price, and a new seller listed season 3 slightly over my watch point (but at a price that meant the total for the 3 seasons was less than I'd been prepared to pay). Also grabbed Sist3r Act 1&2 double bill while it was at a low price.
6th. Total NSD, so now at #4. Stayed off shopping sites so it was easy, as OH and I were rained in while staying in a property in the middle of nowhere in the Lakes (travelled up on 4th) ;)
7th. Went for a walk to a NT property (almost 9 miles round trip with just a 'few' Lakeland uphills), but it remained a total NSD (taking me to #5) as OH and I bought ourselves membership as our present to each other for last Christmas :)
8th. Spend day due to D/Debit, picking up some items I needed for my walking/running, and getting a key cut.
9th. Spend day thanks to another D/Debit.
10th. Spend day, as we 'nipped' into Grasmere (5.5 mile round trip walk over a hill from where we were staying) to get some gingerbread ;)

11th. This is where I come unstuck with knowing whether to claim as an NSD or not. On 25th June I ordered a DVD box set, but it hadn't arrived by 7th so I contacted the seller who immediately issued a refund. Surprised me they did so that fast, as officially it still had another week before it was overdue (but items from them normally arrive the first expected day or even the day before, which made it at least a week overdue). At that point the only copy they had for sale was a new one, and I'd ordered a used copy so realised they wouldn't replace with that one. But the next day they listed another used copy, which made OH and myself wonder if I'd managed to get it at a lower price than they wanted to sell it for - and they'd therefore not actually posted it out, and waited until they'd issued a refund to relist. So I watched until it fell to 43p less than I'd previously paid and re-ordered from them ;) So I can either claim 25th of last month as an NSD (due to having had the only spend refunded) and then count 11th as a spend day, or I can leave 25th as a spend day and count 11th as an NSD as I was ordering a replacement item after receiving a full refund

    12th. Total NSD (either #6 or #7)

    Well done CW !

I would leave June 25 as the original spend day and count yesterday as a NSD because the expenditure was made using money refunded to you. And I like the idea of NT memberships as prezzies, gives the receiver the chance for plenty of free days out.

  • NSD number 10 woohoo! Halfway there!

My LTW of chicken stew and rice was eyed with envy by my colleague and those who didn't see it commented on how lovely the smell was. I can't believe that until 3 months ago I never brought any lunch with me and spent at least £5 for lunch everyday. Saved loads of £££.

It was such a shock to my system to wake up at 5:30 am this morning. My shifts for the last few weeks have been either night shifts or late shifts so what a change to my body clock. I played yawn contest with my colleagues today and went straight to bed when I got home at 3pm. It's tempting to just sleep through the night and wake up at 5am tomorrow but I must really get up and make supper.

My husband got £46 for his quidco cash back and £14 from Santander for interest and cash backs. It's nice when there's incoming money rather than just outgoings. They will go straight to the credit card. Slowly but surely chipping away.

Right I just go, the supper won't cook itself. Wishing you all a good evening and lots of NSD's to report. Ta.
