Finally, NSD number 2 makes it into the Cauldron of Doom!

Some pretty gloomy faces here at Camp Ennessdee, Igor, why is that?

Oh.....it's raining, and only Mrs Doyle remembered to bring raincoat and wellies.....Hubert is sulking because Tatty nicked his stilettos and got mud over what was left of them after her size 12 feet had been in them......Chef can't get the barbecue going so bang goes the menu plan for stoatburgers....shame.....Bertha spilt perming lotion on your chest wig and now you can't do a thing with it...... Bert is sulking because he reckons he won that tennis match fair and square but the umpire says different.....marmite has lost that vintage bottle of Old Widow she hid in the Cauldron of Doom.....Knitwitch is throwing (knitted) teddies out of the pram because we have all stuffed ourselves with strawberries and cream and can no longer get into the lovely wedding outfits she knitted for us.......And to top it all, we're on Wimbledon Common and we still haven't seen a Womble......

Whose daft idea was it to come camping anyway?

If Tattywotsit doesn't make her mind up soon we will ALL be in knitted Womble suits, I am warning you now (goes off grumbling and trailing yarn behind her)
    Must use my stash up!

Womble suits at least are roomy enough for us to indulge in Mrs Doyle's cakes .......Ah, Mrs Doyle, there you are, what is that horrific smell in the tents? What manner of creature has crawled in and died? Sure is a puzzle, all I can see is NSD gang members munching on your sandwiches....Ah, you did egg sandwiches today.....

scotmum sounds lovely, but why all this Haute Cuisine stuff...haggis aux pilchards, pureed sprouts:isn't that pushing the boat well out?Ok for Lizzie maybe, but isn't it a bit fancy for us plebs? :rotfl:

You must promise never to show Igor this book!

BTW Hubert has very good people skills and a nice telephone manner if ever you're short staffed.

I don't know I'm sure Tatty is worth it :rotfl:
Oops I may have given Igor my copy of 101 ways with sprouts last week. I was wondering where the stench was coming from I think some of his sprout dishes may be a little rotten (in more ways than one :D)
I am adding another 2 NSDs to the cauldron so I have #6 and also hit my 3 in a row :j

I say scotmum, well done on getting your 'in a row' target! :j:j:j

I heard a rumour that Bert Scroggins told Igor that sprouts are the food of love..... and he's anxious to woo Tatty.

    Obviously it worked. :D

She also can't get enough of his curries.

    Strange laydee.

NSD 3 today. What a relief DD1 likes her secondry school only fly in the ointment she wants dinners which is going to be something like £15 a week or possibly more. Just when we need to save more.

    Hi all, good evening!

I bagged another NSD! So it's NSD number 7!

Last day of my sick leave, my back pain has had enough of me and decided to part. Good riddance! Going back to work tomorrow. Yippee (not). I'm pleased I finished all my ironing and the house is a little bit presentable. God knows how long it will stay like this.

Dinner was homemade chicken chow mein which was devoured by my two hungry hippos (hubby is still at work). Biggest surprise was DS2 because he had FIVE HELPINGS!!!! Hungry hippo or what? He is a big and fast eater but very picky with food, being in the ASD. He has very specific requirements for his food - texture, colour, smell, etc. I had to slow him down and nearly told him to leave some for his dad! I think it's one of two things: he's officially a teenager now or he's been very hungry all day. Or he loved my cooking. IF there is any left over after hubby's had his dinner after work, that's my LTW tomorrow sorted.

Congratulations to fellow NSDers who are bagging more NSD's and hugs to those who are finding it a challenge. Tomorrow is another day!

With this, I bid you all good night!

I'm glad it went well for your DD.Yikes to the cost of school dinners.Did she have packed lunches in her old school,or maybe it was free?
    Oh,and well done to #3. :D

Wow,you really are charging ahead, not bad at all at #7! :j:j

Do be careful with your back going back to work.

Don't forget that we have LO vindaloo sprouts curry and anchovy and cabbage mini quiches from last month's knees up if DS2 is still peckish. :)
