Things you'd tell your 16 year old self...

I'd be hesitant to give my younger self any advice. So many seemingly small decisions lead us to where we are in the present. I've 2 fantastic little boys that money just couldn't buy! .... and their beautiful mummy of course.
I'm quite certain i've a wealth of helpful financial advice to pass on to my progeny. Will they listen? ... hopefully.
However if I could sufficiently limit the effects upon the timeline - painting bubble-wrap red and calling it a tension sheet is certainly an option!0 -
1.Don't listen to that future self
2.Do as you feel right
3.Enjoy each dayDebt is a symptom, solve the problem.0 -

That would certainly take the pressure off of some of life's more difficult decisions. Red sauce or brown sauce on your chip butty?0 -
1, stay in education to either university level or learn a trade/apprentice.
2, however much you earn, spend less than that amount
3, invest in yourself0 -

1. Take more time in making your decisions. Hoping that someone else will make them for you doesn't work!
2. Take the Gap year at University in the 3rd year to go out to work. Don't be too lazy to find a job for it.
3. Don't spend your whole life chatting to random people on the Internet in either chat rooms of forums!0 -
I wouldn't tell a 16yo me to save anything. Spend everything you've got when you're young. Aim to save mid-late 20s if your salary is high enough.0

Though if you do play with your dinky toy too much it might fall off.0
