How soon we forget....
Santander was originally proposing to buy RBS branches in England/Wales and Nat West in Scotland.
Co-Op was buying TSB.
It's unlikely to happen, the government now want more "brands" and competition in this sector.
If they do close the Nat West branches at least you can be satisfied knowing you were right, but spare a thought for those who worked there.0
