Right - I'm getting back on track with my nsd's and food budgeting.
The positives...
- its 16 days until payday!
- I managed to go for a run before dinner yesterday!! (first one in years and felt really good)
- and I managed to do an hour of sewing in the evening - the top is progressing well!
- people are bidding on my ebay stuff!
- The space for the shed is progressing well!
- Husband will hand in his notice this week
- I've updated ynab this morning.
- Today will be a nsd - only going to walk to the park.
DS has a free toddler activity taster tomorrow so will combine it with a trip into town and do some jobs. I am also seeing the counsellor this week and seeing a friend and going to another toddler group on Thursday so lots of social activities this week.
I also need to do some work, finish my top and start my work outs again.
This sounds like its going to be a good week. It is enough. I am enough.

Crunchy you sound so positive it is lovely to read!
I keep debating with myself about YNAB. I like the idea of it and the theories behind it seem fab. I just wonder whether it really does anything extra on top of my own spreadsheet of wonderfulness and whether it is just silly spending pennies to help me save pennies!!Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2025 Plan:- Regular Savings £9,000/£10,000

T2rry! Re ynab I'm in 2 minds about it at the moment. I was finding it hard juggling it and my spreadsheets. And remembering to track all my expenditure. It's essentially pots of money which i like. I don't think it has saved me any money yet but I'm sure it will.im sure I'm not yet using it to its full potential so I should find some tutorials.

I loved YNAb, but kept getting in a pickle with it. I've gone back to a simple app on my phone which breaks down our savings account in about 20 different pots of money and that works well for us. I can see the odd pence at a glance and when I'm being all MSE I go along and pinch all the pennies to pay off the debt or mortgage.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Morning people!
Yesterday was a nsd apart from some milk which came out of food money anyway. Husband is away for a few nights so I made myself a meal out of stores - grilled veg with mozzarella on couscous - and it was actually quite nice! I'm going to try and do this for the next few days to save a few pennies.
I love being at home with my children but I never feel like I'm doing enough with them. We do lots of simple things like walks and trips to the park and I get ds involved with cleaning and when I do a bit of office type stuff he gets his 'work' stuff out too. We bake too and play with playdoug and of course he plays with his cars and Lego. what else can you do with 3 year olds that is free or low cost?
Another nsd today apart from a trip to the butchers using next weeks food money - all budgeted for though
I'm going to try and get some cleaning done too and update ynab and do some office stuff when baby is asleep.
Have a lovely day everyone!

Does your local children centre run any groups you can take him too?
I am going to a few free groups as my normal ones are off for the summer.
Also if you are on facebook there are quite a lot of groups with ideas for playing with your kids like arts and crafts.
I tried to post the other day about PND, I suffered a breakdown at 6 weeks after my daughters birth and am hopefully getting my counselling soon (she is 1 in 2 weeks!), going private sounds a good option to get help quicklyNow a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Blimey lilmissmup and it's taken all this time to get counselling!?
I'm hoping I won't need many sessions as I feel like I'm over the worst now. I'm trying so hard to think positively about stuff and started a positivity diary where I just write statements in bubbles in a note book about the positive things I have done that day with the aim of proving to myself that I am good enough.
I have put a post it note on my fridge saying 'this is my life now and if I want to make positive changes the. Only I can do them.'
I think I have relied in the past for friends and activities with friends to build my self esteem before I had kids but now my life has changed so much I need to rely on myself.
The diary is definitely helping as is writing on here and getting support from all my lovely dfw friends!!
Yes i have signed up for a few free things too. I'm doing what I can and that is enough.

Good morning diaryland!
I feel soooooooo much better today. I'm not allowing negative thoughts to even enter my mind - that must be the difference! Simple but true!!
I've got my first counselling session tonight so it will be a spend day today but I have cash out ready for it from the money saved for the shed.
When I was on a downer last week I ordered £75 of workout clothes and other bits from one of my favourite shops. It arrived yesterday but none of it fits so that is a blessing!! Just need to post it back.
Some of my e bay items finished last night so will post them in the next few days. Will use the money to pay down the credit card a little.
The blasted shed will be arriving soon so once it has been delivered I can pay for it and start repaying debt again woohoo!!!
Ds is in at me about riding on a train. We have friends in London so I shall plan a day trip out soon and perhaps go to one of the free museums and the open top bus tour.
Sains shop today and a free activity at our children's centre for ds.
I'm going to update my signature again with all our different debts as that seems to keep me more focussed.
Have a good day peeps!!

Yep waited a long time, the first few months after her birth were tough *my issues stem from her labour* but after 6 months on anti depressants and talking to HV I am loads better, still have underlying issues though that would need dealing with if I ever had another child although unlikely, my DD is OH's 3rd child, he isn't keen on a 4th!
Hope tonight goes well and you have a nice day!Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0
