Morning Diary.
Got up early this morning as children will be back later and I wanted to get to aldi and do the shopping without, I went through the cupboards and freezer, made a meal plan and shopping list and off I went to aldi, the roads and aldi was lovely and quiet due to the fact it was 8am and kids are off school, spent just short of £24 and we will be fine until next weekend when I will do a big shop, also decided to do without things when we had alternatives, didn't buy yoghurts as we have loads of half tubs of ice cream in the freezer so we will have ice cream and fruit instead, also have some jelly and angel delight in the cupboard that can be made up for desserts as well. Having rst chicken for tea tonight with peas, carrots, rst tatties and gravy, I hope there will be enough chicken left for sandwiches tomorrow.
I have also divided up sweets and chocs I got as presents into sandwich bags, will use these on days out for treats for the kids, have also used a lot to make some rocky road traybake which is now setting in the fridge yum yum.
I have checked online banking and have £14 left in bank account as DD for Halifax CC has gone out, hopefully I won't need to use it and can send it to Tesc0 CC on Friday when I get paid, not sure what I'm doing with the kids this week but it will need to be cheap /free I have £10 in my purse for them to do something fun, tomorrow we will have a lazy day at home as I think tey will both be wacked as they have had a fun packed, busy weekend with family so fingers crossed all they will want to do is chill and watch films, Wednesday is DH half day at work so we might go to the beach after lunch (if it isn't raining) and walk the dogs, Thursday I might take them to the small towm as they have a nice little swimming pool, kids could go swimmimg, there is a viewing area so I could just sit and watch whilst reading a book.
Friday is payday, so need to go to big town to buy some school uniform, kids will both get there allowance and DS has a WHsmiths voucher to spend, so they could do some shopping and then it will be the weekend.
Right off to put some washing on and clean the kitchen floor.DEBT JUNE 2015/ DEBT NOW

Hi ICBW.
Just popping in to say hello, sorry you're having a bit of a hard time with your partner, it's not fun is it? Well done for sticking to the money saving though, you're doing so well, I'm not sure how people do it with children!0 -

Hi mumblingtaff, thankyou for popping by and reading my ramblings.
It's hard trying not to spend when you have kids, but I wouldn't be without them and as far as kids go they are not too demanding unlike some of their friends that seemed to have hundreds of pounds spent on them month after month, really don't know how their parents do it, plus it's not healthy for the kids to think money just grows on trees and will ust be handed to them everytime they want a newgadget or new clothes, mine have chores they have to do and then get a small allowance.
Sorry I'm now waffling.DEBT JUNE 2015/ DEBT NOW

Morning diary.
Today is going to be a quiet day at home, both children arrived home exhausted yesterday afternoon and are still fast asleep, I told them we would have a onesie//tv day and they were both happy with that.
Managed to wade through quite a lot of surveys yesterday between housework, one being a p1necone one :j, fingers crossed I manage to get near payout with some in Aug and can throw more money at debt, new statements for hal1fax and n£xt this morning, so I've updated sig, nice to see total going down just wish it was going down by bigger chunks. Checked online banking and I'd forgot about a payment for £9.99 which has gone out today, so i'm left with £4.01 in account, good job I decided not to throw the £14 at CC yesterday:eek:.
Tea was lovely last night and there is some chicken left, think I will use it for pasta bake tonight, I've made some pancake batter up this morning ready for kids when they appear starving from their rooms..
Also need to bake as when family dropped children off I made coffee and offered rocky road that I made yesterday to everyone ad now there is only 3 pieces left .
Meals for today (all from stores)-
B- pancakes + nutella.
L - sandwiches, fruit, cake.
T- chicken & red pepper pasta bake, G bread and salad+ ice cream.
snacks - grapes, cheese crackers, tortilla chips.
Better go and get showered and dressed, put washer on (raining again so will need to use dryer) then I will walk the dogs.DEBT JUNE 2015/ DEBT NOW

Hello ICBW.
Followed you from another thread and have read your diary - distraction activity as I am putting off a big jobWe have similarities! Same level of debt. Rural location. Working in the sharp end of education;) I guess I am somewhat older than yourself as I have 2 DDs who are allegedly young adults ( one still in school).
Interesting reading your techniques of lowering the debt. You are right in getting paid the small debts gives you a psychological boost.......tackle that Next debt because it comes with crippling interest rate. Have you looked at any challenges - Payment a Day - fab supportive thread and amazing how much debt is paid off just by making a small payment every day. Also the KonMarie Method thread - not about debt but linked in a way and hugely supportive. Lots of people on there have had lots of success in different parts their lives just from decluttering. Worth a look

Hi Igamogam.
Firstly thankyou for reading and for your advice, I must find your diary and read.
Your right about the debts and paying the small ones off being psychological, I do know I need to over pay the Next account and get that cleared, but also psychologically I want to see Tesco CC starting with a 6 not a 7, I've been in the 7s for so long with that account that it's depressing.
So my goals for August shall be get Tesco CC starting with a 6, then throw everything at NEXT.
I understand what you are saying about konmarie method, luckily I am naturally very organised, have lists for lists and don't do clutter/stuff. Most of my debt has come from having big holidays, I love going on holiday, but it has stopped and we will have cheap breaks from now on until the debt is paid off and then we will save for holidays.
Thankyou for posting and sorry for rambling on.DEBT JUNE 2015/ DEBT NOW

Well not managed a lot this morning, feeling a bit heady as though I have a cold coming on.
I have saved a few pennies though this morning as I didn't dry and straighten hair, so saved electricity, as I didn't straighten hair I didn't use hair serum, also no makeup on as I'm not going anywhere.
Hung washing out as sun is now shining.
Only a few pennies saved but pennies make pounds.DEBT JUNE 2015/ DEBT NOW

Hello ICBW! I can't lie - I came to nosey purely because of your diary title! I love it!!!
Anywho, didn't want to read and run so thought I'd say hello, good luck, and will subscribe! First and foremost, I would be finding out what 0%'s your cc's are on, and trying to move any that are high interest to 0% cards. I can't imagine how much money I would have wasted if I had not done this. Now the fight (of course) is to get them all paid off before the 0% ends!!Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2025 Plan:- Regular Savings £7,400/£10,000

Hi and thankyou for posting.
I would love to get all my debt on 0% or LLB but the problem is I know I would get turned down for any new CC at the minute, which is why I'm trying to overpay and get some wiggle room with the cards I have and then try andtransfer between them if any offers arise, hopefully over paying should improce my credit rating as well.DEBT JUNE 2015/ DEBT NOW

Morning diary.
Yesterday was a NSD:j, today will be a SSD as I am taking kids swimming and I need icing sugar.
Managed to get quite afew surveys completed yesterday and cashed out with p1necone, only £4 but should receive that today and the dilemma is Tesco CC or N£xt account. Maybe paying of N£xt would give me more of a boost, but I hate seeing that bl**dy CC in the 7s.
I scrumpied some of next doors raspberries yesterday, their plants are growing over into my garden, so I picked everything on my side (surely that's legal) anyway I'm going to make a raspberry and lemon bread and butter pud.
All meals today are out of stores-
B - cereal/toast.
L - Tuna sandwiches/ crisps/fruit or left over pasta bake.
D - HM cheese and bacon quiche, jkt spuds & salad.
Snacks - fruit/crackers -
I will take children some of the chocs I bagged up when I go swimming, as they always come out starving and want something out of the vending machine.
Sorry it's a short and boring post.DEBT JUNE 2015/ DEBT NOW
