it was all because I asked him for help with something I couldn't do and because he didn't want to do it he got cranky with me, but I tried to point out that he gets upset when I don't ask for help and try and do everything myself because we are supposed to be a team, I can't bl**dy well win.

I know that feeling :(

I think I need to try that approach. They sent me an offer a few weeks ago and I'd just had a sort out so I listed 34 items in one day. Must have taken me 12 hours.

If I have a large amount listed I tend to wrap up an item as soon as it has a bid on it and put a note on it to say what it is then there isn't a mammoth wrapping session once all the bids are in - just popping on addresses :D

• Afternoon diary.

Just a quick update as I'm battling with washing, housework etc.

Back from our little trip away and we had a fab time, spent just short of £40.

Hubby filled the car up with fuel before we went and when I nipped out in it this morning it was showing that I had 390 miles of fuel, so that should last me a couple of weeks saving some pennies for me to throw at N£XT.

I have checked Barclayc@rd balance this morning and new statement has appeared whilst I was away and a small amount of interest added but I am now in the 4s which is fantastic.
Think there will be new N£XT statement tomorrow, so that will go up slightly due to interest added but I'm pleased with how much I have knocked off this month.

Small spend this morning on bread, milk, fruit totalling £5.70, will do a large sho[p tomorrow, so need to do a meal plan and shopping list for the week.

Off to catch up on other diaries.

• Morning diary,it's payday :j.

Off shopping soon, fingers crossed I don't spend too much, have already had a small spend this morning, bought DD some boots from N£w Look that are in the sale down to £6 and got a further 10% off using a code, so £5.40, hope she like them! if not I will have them as we are same shoe size.
http://www.newlook.com/shop/teens/shoes-and-boots/teens-light-brown-cross-strap-ankle-boots-_326821721
Lots of items in the sale as well, bought lots of socks, some scarves and a couple of purses, will use these for Christmas presents for DD friends, DD buys her own presents for her friends so I will get the money back off her, but when the socks are 50p a pair can't go wrong really or teenage girls.

Checked banking and hal!fax CC DD has gone out, New N£XT statement online and interest has been added, want toget that account into the 2s this month.

Off to get dressed and get children up.

Afternoon diary.

Well the last 2 days have been spendy, too spendy really and I need to spend the rest of the month cutting back and reigning in as I feel as though things could get out of control again.

so here we go (may be a ramble).

Spends -

Homeba$e - spent £140 on a bed and mattress for DS, decided to get it as they have 25% off at the minute, this is totally unbudgeted for and I therefore need to claw back spending in other areas to cover.
Kids allowance - £40.
school blouses - £13
Lunch out with DD - £23, DS was a friends yesterday so decided to treat DD.
Groceries - B00ths £20.
Sainsbugs £7.82.
Ald1 -£39.

Savings -
Hair - budgeted usual £55 for cut and colour, but decided to colour it myself and I will get a trim next month, hair dye was £5.99 and BOGOF at super-drug, I coloured it this morning and I actually prefer the colour to the hairdressers and DD said it looks more natural.
Food - Had a huge piece of lamb for tea last night that we got given from cousins and there is enough left for a curry tonight.
Postie brought 2 boxes of choc breakfast cereal to test for a survey company, brilliant as DS eats cereal for breakfast and supper, so no cereal bought this week.
Fuel -saved £25 budgeted for this week as DH filled car up when we went away and still plenty of fuel left.
Using free moisturiser (14 day trial one) and also have a few samples of various ones in drawer, so hopefully won't need to buy that this month.
I have sold an item on £bay and sent £8 to N£XT and paid another £17 off which was minimum payment due and had been budgeted for.
Listed another item on £bay.
Need to buy duvet cover and sheet for DS new bed, do have a £15 arg0s voucher, so this should go a long way to paying for them.
DD still needs trainers, was going to save amazon vouchers but havn't got enough so may bite the bullet and go to sports direct tomorrow.

September goals -
NO USING CC.
Get N£XT down to £250.
List minimum 10 items on £bay.

Sorry for the waffling.

I like your September goals idea - might pinch it if you don't mind? X

• Just read all of your diary so far. Well done on what you have achieved so far, too many things to comment on individually :):):)
Love how I can get a load of advice and peoples experiences before getting married and having a family. It's like having a mahoosive family.
Will continue to read on your progress and good luck (like you need it :))
• Morning ICBW at least you are aware of your spending and know when to reign it in. That's half the battle I think. I have set up a spending diary spreadsheet (may try YNAB but need to do more research). It really does motivate me to cut out things and keep an eye on everything.

I have noticed that quite a lot of people on the DFD have vouchers from various places. Are these due to surveys?

Have a great Sunday xx

Light xx

Good morning, thankyou for popping by and for your kind words.

The DF board is a fab place, lots of lovely people that are always there to help. It is like one big family.
