It works both ways sometimes. I buy those big boxes of Whiskas pouches for about £10 each in Tescos. I buy two a month as I have 2 cats. Last time I went the cashier only scanned one of them, so I got £10 worth of cat food free! Result!Debt Free Nerd #3100

Not quite the same but I now always check very carefully the total price displayed before I put in pin number when paying by debit card. Learnt the hard way after paying £80 for an £8 bunch of flowers. Only realised a few weeks later when my bank statement arrived. Luckily did manage to get money back, but would easily have ben missed in my pre MSE days when I rarely checked my bank statements.:rolleyes:0

I have a cautionary tale similar to Jess - about 3 weeks ago I popped into Mr T to get a few odds and ends - a very small trolley of things came to £65 - nothing particularly fancy, no wine, etc. I was so raging I stormed out of the shop, more angry at myself than anything at thinking a few things added up to so much money. came home, unpacked, of course threw away the receipt. Thinking about it later, I went back through what I'd bought, and it should only have come to about £35. Of course I then couldn't find the receipt. As a result I will ALWAYS check the receipt from now on, and will NEVER shop in Mr T again. It is absolutely my mistake, but I'm heartened to see that others have been overcharged, and not just once as well.0

Sainsbury's always overcharge me. I ALWAYS check from Sainsbury's - and usually from other places. If you want the rainbow, you've gotta put up with the rain :hello:0
