Hello!
Could you please put me down for £150 ? I really want to make some savings this month and there's only two of us so this is so doable!!:j0 -
Had my first July spend today - £26 on 2kg minced beef (split into 4) and approx 70 boned chicken thighs ( split into 8) all chucked in the freezer.
DH had a £6 off a £30 spend at Mr S, and £15 in points, so he bought 2 large lamb legs and he paid £10 - they been boned and cut into 2's, again in the freezer - so we should be okay for meat this monthNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
£300/£1300 -
New to the forums and definitely need to cut down on grocery spends - could you please put me down for £150?0

Going to try but got a birthday (party tea) and self catering for a week so will aim for £200 this month. Not counting meals out when away otherwise won't come within budget.Mortgage 22 years £190,419 at 2.84% fixed for 2 years from 1st July 2014
Mortgage 21 yrs 6 mths £186,059 as of February 2015
Mortgage 20 years 7 months £178,644.68 February 20160 -
Had my first spend yesterday - £30 in ALDI and Heron foods. We're having my son's birthday meal tonight with my extended family so I had to get some ingredients. I will have to do another shop today for the remaining ingredients plus this week's food, but hoping to stay within £40.
Like what I have recently started doing when I go shopping, I took £30 from our groceries/household envelope and told the cashier what my budget was so he wouldn't scan in everything in my trolley and I wouldn't have to be tempted to use my card instead. I also had my little notebook and calculator so I know how much I have in my trolley. I came out of the shops with a little bit less items than what I anticipated but didn't spend a penny more than £30!
Ahhh it's takes a lot of focus and discipline but it will be worth it! I remember reading something like this:
"For the moment discipline seems painful and rather unpleasant but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it."

Hello all. I like to be included for starting tomorrow and have a budget of £150. Me and OH had a bit of a mare last month and went over dramatically, but this month we are looking very closely at what we buy and shopping at various shops to get the cheapest item possible. So we shall see.

Can I join and be put down for £400.
We're 3 adults plus occasional visitors who stay a week or two. We've been spending £450-500 a monthbut we need to reduce our spending and £400 seems a reasonable amount to aim for at first.
