QUOTE When you booked surely a booking reference number/locator would have poped up?
Why wait three weeks before questioning not having a confirmation email?
Something doesn't add up.
The error over the wrong destination being booked - are you sure you didn't make the error and accidently select the wrong destination? To be told the amendment fee and then decide to simply rebook as it was cheaper seems a strange thing to do if you were 100% sure the error was Easyjets.QUOTE
I was away for a ouple of weeks and looked into it when I returned. No confirmation was received until 15th May after many calls,e mails etc. The booking reference only appearred asa reference number on the credit card.
The reason I reebooked was because the price was good and I wanted to be sure of getting the flights to Malaga.. They said I would receive £13 per person cancellation so this £49 taken with the £186 1 paid would still have made it cheaper than changing the destination on the original booking. Easy jet say if the destination was wrong I had 3 chances to change it but I dont believe that I would have made the same mistake 3 times.0 -
Are you sure the original confirmation didn't go to your spam folder?
I'm not convinced you would win at small claims. If the issue was with their system there would be multiple complaints from passengers booked to the wrong destination.
Are you sufficiently confident of your case to pay the small claims fee, and the hearing fee should it come to that?0 -
I am waiting to hear from the credit card company who I have approached but am going away on 1st July for 3 weeks so if they reply by letter it will b lte July before I can take any action. As regrads system failure I know of 1 instance what others were there that I dont know of and Easy jet will obviouslyt say there was not any. They have already said their IT department said there was no pronlem but I know this to be wrong.0

You don't know that. Chances are you saw 'Majorca' and read it as Malaga.0 -
At long last I have just received a letter from the credit card company saying that this does not fall under the terms of Section 75 of the Credit Consumer Act 1974 so the matter must be taken up with Easy Jet. I am now, well in the morning, going to write to the CEO Mrs Carolyn McCall OBE.0

Along similar lines......We booked to Bilbao.....when we got to heathrow the flight was well overbooked,we was offered £200 each to take a later flight which we accepted, the next couple to us also took the £200 each .
They asked us was Marbella far from Bilbao...only about 700 miles!...we told them.....upshot was they wanted to fly to Marbella and booked to Bilbao.....with a strong spanish accent maybe they sound the same.....cutting to the chase, when we were offered the cash we were also offered free flights anywhere in spain they had available seats that day.
The couple took 2 seats to Malaga and with £400 cash got a right result.Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0 -
As for us,the later flight to Bilbao did not exist,so on BA we flew 1st class to Madrid and was put in a taxi to Pamplona, which was our final destination from Bilbao.Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0

You won't get anywhere doing that. She's too busy saying she's not the former PM of Australia.
If you have a case, small claims procedure is the only way of getting some where.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Thanks for the advice I will still send her a registered letter prior to probable County Court Action. Could I take small claims action against her personally being the ultimate person responsible.0
