It's one or the other. Generally it can be done over the phone. In your case, request the PAC and get confirmation that there won't be any Early Termination Fees (in writing). You may want to confirm that to them in writing purely because Vodafone tell you one thing and do another, then have you running around in circels forever trying to sort out a mess they invented and then proceed to escalate. When you have the PAC and written confirmation make sure you exercise it within 30 days or you will have to start again.0

To put the ball in motion you first of all have to write to them at the head office .....not ring them, email or live chat
Once they have checked that the request is valid they will offer to terminate your contract penalty free.
At that point if you wish to keep your number you should ask for a PAC.
You have got till the 28th July to write to them, after that you will have missed the slot.It's not just about the money0
