But I need to get this straight.
I took out a contract in October 2015 via Carphone Warehouse. It included an iPhone 6. My contract runs until October 2017.
Can I really cancel now, without any further charges, and keep the phone? Sounds too good to be true?
But if it is true I'd be crazy not to take advantage of it.
Sounds too good to be true but it is! You have nothing to lose by writing to them. Just remember to ask for your PAC code so that you can continue to use it where you want. Will also be good to know what SIM or account you go for next so you can move quickly without ending up 'phone-less'.0 -

So would they just respond with a PAC code, I move to another network, and that's that?0 -

Yes, just make sure you write in asap, you only have a fixed time to request the cancellation, usually 30 days. Make sure you send the letter by Recorded Delivery so you have proof of delivery of your cancellation.
Also ask them for the PAC in the letter, and word the letter as your request for penalty free termination as offered by Vodafone due to their detrimental price increase.====0 -
How does this look?Dear Sirs,
Thank you for your recent text to my phone no ########### on 26th June at 12.05pm.
You stated in the link attached to the text message that as my charges would increase beyond the Retail Price Index that I would be able to cancel my agreement without charge.
I am writing to you to exercise my right to cancel my contract with yourselves. Please could you send me my PAC code so that I am able to move to a different network. As part of my contract I recieved an Apple iPhone 6 128GB, it's my understanding that upon termination of the contract this will remain my property and no further charges will be payable for the phone? Please can you confirm that this is the case, if it is not or if you have anything else you wish to discuss with me please feel free to contact me on my mobile number or by email email@address.
Best Regards

The phone is yours, the contract says so, don't complicate the matter or confuse the agent who gets to process the PAC. It's not unheard of for them to make up their own conditions and you are inviting a request (which isn't really enforceable) for the return of the handset.====0 -
Fair play, but I didn't want to cancel the contract and leave the network only to then be hit with a bill for the handset!0

Count yourself as one of the lucky ones, Mark Hewitt0

You can't have a notice to cancel and a PAC. Requesting a PAC cancels the notice and will expire if unused after 30 days.0

So what's the procedure then? Confused
Obviously I would prefer to port my number.0 -
http://www.broadbandchoices.co.uk/guides/help/cancel-contract-price-goes-upif it's a mobile phone deal, you may have to return the handset - depending on how far through your contract you are - or otherwise have to pay an extra amount to keep it.0
