I don't have time to go through all the FAQ's but maybe having a live chat with the team might help you.

Just found this but I can't find what they are referring to. Maybe you will have better luck.

How can I receive Sun email bulletins?

Just login to your Sun+ account and then go to the ‘My Account’ area here. Click on the ‘My Bulletins’ tab, and You can select which Sun Bulletins you want by going to the My Bulletins tab in the My Account area
  • I was not actually looking forward to this film.
It is not the type of film I would go to the cinema to see......
In fact, I was talking myself into not even bothering to go tonight to the Free Preview as from the trailers etc, I really, REALLY didn't fancy it at all.....

But one factor made me get up and go.
Tom Hardy - I just love him......

When the film title came on screen, there was a warning stressing it was an 18, and the violence etc which had caused it to get this rating..... so I was still having serious doubts, and wondering how I could discreetly leave if the violence and gore became too much for me....

But I need not have worried, and BOY was I glad I went tonight.
I thought Tom Hardy was brilliant - he just dominates the screen whenever he walks on camera.
Whether in the foreground or background my eye was always looking for him, and once your eye is on him, you cannot look elsewhere.

I won't spoil it for anyone else, but suffice to say the film gets a solid 8 out of 10 from me..... maybe even an 8.5.

I was a bit unsure about LEGEND as well (not quite my type of film or choice of subject) but a friend really wanted to see it so decided to go.

Also thought the 18 rating was because it would be excessively violent.

I'm actually very surprised it was given the 18 and probably would consider a 15 to be adequate. I've seen quite a few 15 certificates that I would consider far more violent and "frightening".

Agree the two portrayals by Tom Hardy are excellent and are very different. Give him 8 or 9 out of 10 ....

... but the film for me was only a 5 to a 6 at best, rather lack-lustre in my opinion, not something that gripped me and won't watch it again.

Maybe expecting something significantly more than it was given the hype and the 18 certificate.

I think that was my concern - I am not into gratuitous violence, and having seen 15s that have me cringing, I was worried about how much Gore could result in an 18 these days.
So although it was violent, it was no where near as bad as I feared.

I know there have been other films about the Krays, but I have never watched them, so I don't know how this compares.
Perhaps my 8 / 8.5 out of 10 was more for Tom Hardy than the script/film.....
But I would watch it again.
Maybe not this week or next, but when it comes on TV in a year or so I will definitely watch it again.

And for those with moral issues about the film, I don't feel it glamorised them, nor did it glamorise the violence.
Right from the start Ronnie is shown as a complete nutcase.....(sorry, I know that is not being PC)
I suppose what created them into the 'gangsters' they were in this film would have taken this to a whole different level..... but taken several more hours as well....

p.s I have just had a look at some photos of Frances - she was stunning

To address the matter of "glamour", you might be interested in something Brian Helgeland said at the Q&A at the BFI screening on Friday. He doesn't view "glamour" as a positive, he views it as a negative and feels that the Krays were glamorous because of the celebrities they rubbed shoulders with and their behaviour!

Not sure I agree with him.

The Palio is the oldest horse race in the world, and turns the Italian city of Siena into a high-stakes battleground of strategy, intrigue, and simmering machismo. In the eye of the storm stand the jockeys – adored if they succeed, despised if they fail. PALIO follows the legendary maestro Gigi Bruschelli, winner of 13 races and master of the intrigues that surround the Palio, and his former prot!g! Giovanni Atzeni, a handsome young contender driven by a fearless passion to become number one. This heart-racing new documentary exposes the notoriously closed world of this ancient race and the larger-than-life personalities of those involved in an epic and cinematic tale of Italian life in microcosm.
