Not sure what I should do

  • 8 hours?! That can't be right!

On the Nokia site it says it should last up to 11 days. Obviously I don't expect that, but I'd like around 2 days or so like my old Nokia 6230i.

Think I would be tempted to open a dispute and ask for my money back. Partly because I wouldn't want to lose the option to do so if it goes over 45 days, and partly because it sounds like the next replacement could be equally dodgy, and it's probably less hassle to get another phone from someone else!

  • 11 day battery life is a 'standby' estimate, which assumes you dont use the phone for anything during that period, and even then you would have to have a perfect signal or else the battery would fade faster.

what handset is it? i know for sure than Samsung handsets are a real pain in the backside when it comes to battery life

Like Greenstreetprince says the longest quoted time is just an estimate assuming phone not used at all. I'm currently using a basic V3i and it will go aprox 6-7 days if I leave it alone, but the moment I start checking messages ro making calls my battery life can be gone in a day..The more stuff and gizmos on the phone the shorter the battery life as there is always more running in the background.

  • I know it won't last 11 days, hence why I said I don't expect it to last 11 days!

The phone is a Nokia N70 Music Edition, by the way.
  • Okay, little update and more help needed possibly.

I bought the phone on July 6th, so 45 days are coming to an end on monday. I've asked him for a refund blah, blah, blah. If he doesn't respond within monday what do I do? I've never filed any claims. Do I report it to ebay or paypal? How do I do it?

Also, does my 45 day thingy start at the auction end or after I pay?

    Thanks.

Have to agree with some of the other posts here, I have a Sidekick II, when new it could do probably 3 or 4 days at most. Now its getting old and battery quality has depreciated Im lucky to get 48 hours out of it.

You need to file your dispute with paypal, although Im not sure which way it will go :)
  • How do I do that?
