Another thing that would put me off (apart from the short MoT and LPG) is the daft price £2899 ?? are you a wannabe back street trader? If you want £2900 then put that in the ad; it looks far more honest. I avoid all private adds that have a price ending in xx95 and especailly xx99 !! Looks like the seller is a dodgy bloke on the make.

Really? Bit shortsighted that. I always price at £n99 so that when people search for 'cars up to 2K' etc, I don't get filtered out. I suspect many perfectly honest, trustworthy private sellers who have half a brain will come to the same conclusion.

The comment about how awkward someone found it to get in/out of a 2-door version when in a tight space made me chuckle.
The doors on the front of a 2 door are the same size as those on a 4-door model (having had to replace one).

The main issue with LPG is the lack of stations supplying it in the UK.

The main advantage is that with a kit fitted and the primary fuel type changed to LPG from petrol you become exempt from the London congestion charge and emissions charges.

Just looked on ebay and there's even a Prius Hybrid with an LPG conversion. These things can average 70+ MPG on petrol, so hate to think how cheap they would be to run when on LPG.

Interesting to read. Every 2 door car I've had the doors have been wider than the 4 door equivalent.

The reason not selling is the price is too high for the description and pictures.
Dealer list price is £2695, any reason you think yours is worth more than dealer list price as a private seller?
Put 12 months mot on it. I wouldn't touch a car with less than 9 months mot if I was paying any more than £1000-1500.
LPG is undesirable pretty much anywhere outside of London congestion charge area, so will affect your ability to sell.

Even with 12 months mot and a good clean I think you might get £2500 top end,

Not sure which car you are talking about but all the 2 door cars I have driven including the Astra have bigger front doors than their 4 door equivalent

Agreed from experience, they have to be or it would be an even greater challenge to access the back seats.

what the hell are you talking about lpg not being desirable?
I can fill up my car for 14quid and drive with that 250miles , even diesels can't touch it and lets not even talk about all the diesel problems...
and there are plenty of filling stations now.

and you can always just drive on petrol when you want.
one of the reasons i Drive only petrol+lpg cars is NOT to have worries/huge bills you get with diesel cars when something goes wrong with them, and let's not even start talking about the damn dpf filters.. But than again Everyone here is so Posh that they think 3year old car is already OLD and must be changed, well yes I'm the ''unlucky'' chap that gets to drive your 4+ year old cars when you stop paying your lease payments on them and throw them away.

Personally, I never look at ebay classifieds as it's normally full of back street traders.

Vauxhall and LPG always seems to end up with head gasket failure, but that's stereotyping, and mostly the V6's.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

It is a nice desirable car (SXi?) but with two doors and a marmite colour will take longer to shift. Taking pictures really is a skill and once it is polished, you should take pics with a neutral background (don't have to drive for miles, no one will know if you have parked with your neighbours hedge in the background obscuring everything else) and you have to look at the pics to make sure you haven't inadvertently got a reflection. One of your pics makes the nsr quarter panel look like it has had work, whereas I'm sure it is just an awkward reflection from a building.
You do have to talk up the bi-fuel aspect and remind readers it is a great, guaranteed installation that gives equivalent xxxmpg. All the benefits of diesel, without the smell, dirt and repair bills! Any service history at all? Lay it out and detail it.
Final comment is that I really do see that as a dealer price. I'd pitch it at £2495.
