Ring again, be polite and professional and ASK their advice rather than telling them what you want - not suggesting you aren't, but CS need to feel important and feel THEY need to make the decision.
I will do. Thanks for your advice.
I hope to get lucky with an Irish person next.
If all else fails, I will sell loads of items and when they want to charge me for the fees etc, I will cancel my account and the direct debit. Hell no. I am not going to get skanked like that.0 -

So being the nosey cow that I am, I went through her feedback and found her leaving scathing feedback for someone less than 6 months ago where a beauty product was not as described and how she had to go through eBay to get her money back.
I know it's unprofessional, but I messaged the seller and she replied today. The story is almost the same as mine. She sold some expensive cream which was brand new. The buyer claimed it was not as described and that the cream had been used. Messages went back and forth through the resolution centre and eBay favoured the buyer who then returned the item, in a plastic bag wrapped up in blue toilet paper (just like my return). The cream tub was fully emptied. The seller tried to reason with eBay but they did the whole "we can't see the sold item and the returned item, so tough tits, you will have to suck up the loss".
So she did it with this seller less than 6 months ago, and now me. I wonder if she has used this trick against other sellers also.
Will this help my appeal or will the latino woman at eBay still be rude and say the decision made by eBay is final and tell me to get over it!0 -
Did you report the buyer? If not, do it and add the other seller scenario.
That's all you can do. Apart from noting, they aren't Latino, they are from Manila.0 -
You (and the other seller) could always send a letter before action...
Just because eBay said no, doesn't mean you have to give up.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Thank for all your help guys.
The other seller phoned eBay and they have said she is going to get a refund in 3 weeks. I am busy with work until Thursday when I will call and hopefully get some assistance. Even if I got some money back, I would be happy.
But please guys, be careful if selling on eBay. Some buyers are evil!0
