Or you can get a contract with a Desire 610 for £15.35 a month after cashback and 1GB, unlimited minutes and texts.

I don't agree with the sim only concept since all my deals are cashback and although I don't need a phone with them I actually make a profit and get all my bundles free. With a reasonable phone, though you can still get a better deal than sim only plus the cost of the phone.

The contract before cashback is, however £27.50. They may well be other such deals, but that was just a quick check.

too late, I've called 02, found out I can't get my PAC code for another 3 days, bought a locked Desire 501 at Tescos for £99, unlocked it for another tenner. So now I need to find a SIM only deal. I get overloaded with all the options and just panic. That £15.35 deal looks really good, wish I'd seen that before!

Out of stock right now, but there's a similar deal with a smaller bundle. Like I said, I only do cashback deals and whenever a free one comes up (plus profit) I grab it, regardless of whether I need it at the time or not. I'm down to just 7 at present since 2 ended last month (and one of the 7 was actually a contract now costing 30p a month with a good bundle - though I am still in profit on it and it wasn't actually a cashback contract).

However, if you wait until you want a higher end phone or a larger bundle it's more likely to actually cost something - but not as much as all those people fork out every month for normal contracts.
  • Hi all,

First of all I've just got an LG G4 on upgrade contract with EE. I ended up with a minimum £200 saving by doing it this way than compared to buying out right for the plan I wanted.

Secondly, I've just discovered quidco, and they have a deal with Carphone warehouse of £65 cashback on EE upgrade or new contracts. I only took out the upgrade a week ago, is it still possible for me to claim cashback on this or do you have to register with quidco beforehand?

    No and yes.
  • In what respect? I have noticed the "receipt upload" on quidco, but not anywhere to actually do so. Don't know if this is something I can do? It says cashback can be claimed within 3 months of purchase. Sorry, I'm all a bit new to this.

    What's "receipt upload"?
If you mean ClicSnap, I don't see CPW there.
It says cashback can be claimed within 3 months of purchase.
    Where?
EDIT: I see: "Any cashback claims must be made within 3 months of the sale date. Any claims raised after 3 months of the sale date will be automatically declined."
I guess this refers to untracked transactions.

Normally, to get the cashback you should have upgraded via CPW and went to CPW via Quidco while being logged in.

  • I did upgrade via CPW, but I wasn't aware of the cashback before I visited the store. I'm trying to establish if I can still claim the cashback or not? Should I just try their cashback claim form?

you would have had to have been a member of Quidco and clicked through to CPW via the Quidco link - and completed all of your transaction online, to be able to register a claim.
Quidco uses affiliate links to be able to track the transactions that were initiated via their website.
If you didn't do it like that - then no - you won't be able to make a claim.
