And if it helps people to put this into context - stop discussing Ryanair and start talking about Thomson. They're just as guilty, and are very much a UK company. This therefore leaves no ambiguity as to what set of laws they're applicable to.

Do they really? If that is the case why do UK registered aircraft flying out of the UK, into and out of the USA, allows lap infants to be restrained by seat belt extenders, and why do they serve alcohol to under 21s?

Do they serve alcohol to under 21s once the plane has landed and they're getting off? Or before the plane has left the ground?

FYI - Ryanair have an operating base and main hub in the UK (Stansted).

I've asked quite a number of realistic, very pertinent questions to this topic to try and stimulate a purposeful debate on the topic.

So far, the people we're accusing of trolling have managed to ignore every single one in favour of just repeating the same lines over again and again, never addressing our counter arguments in any shape or form.

This is what we call trolling. No purposeful dialogue - just a constant stream of useless comments usually followed by :rotfl:

Hmm, I think you need to read up on the definition of a troll, because that's not it.

However, that is exactly what NFH is doing, he's adding nothing, just continually stating 'CAA guidelines say'. So he's a troll too by your reasoning?

I agree, yes you have put a lot of effort in explaining your opinion of the potential H&S position, none of which I have disagreed with if you read back.

Exactly. I had already pointed that out above, but the trolls conveniently ignored it. The trolls are going around in circles ignoring previously made points, remaking the same weak arguments.

Yep, I've mentioned them several times already.

I wonder how many of these posters have actually flown with Ryanair recently?

You get what you pay for and nothing else. Parents chose not to pay for seating and reaped the consequences. They should live with the responsibility of their actions.

Next time I fly with Jet2 or Monarch I'll choose not to pay for a meal. Does this entitle me to kick off on the flight and demand a meal for free? does it heck.

The idea of a family tax is nonsense as the parents made the choice to (a) fly Ryanair and (b) not to add seats to their booking.

Next time, these educated adults will perhaps consider their choices differently.

Their booking already included seats (as all flights do). The problem was that Ryanair chose to seat the family in different parts of the aircraft, contrary to CAA guidelines. Please read the thread before posting.

You need a loss or injury to go to court.

H&S law is about stopping it before it ever gets to a loss or injury, not simply about punishment and fines afterwards.
So why haven't H&S stepped in to stop any potential loss or injury caused by airlines seating children away from their parents?

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, they might be. We don't know yet. Why are we repeatedly covering old ground? This is trolling.
