Hi,
HELP NEEDED about G24 parking charge notice.
I recently recieved a parking charge notice from G24 of £100 for having overstayed the permitted free parking time at the Octagon Retail Park in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. This was on a car park that used to be free for many years despite having old parking signs up. Therefore, I was unaware that new parking signs had been put into force. I wrote to G24 to inform I was not paying the charge for the following reasons; unclear signage, the charge not being a fair pre-estimate of loss and also because the charge notice was recieved after 14 days of the alleged offence. I also provided photos of signage. In response to my letter i have now recieved a letter rejecting my response and informing me of 3 options; pay the charge, appeal through the Independent Appeals Service or choose to ignore. If I do nothing they warn that they will seek to recover the monies via their debt recovery procedures and may proceed to court.
I would be grateful for advise on whether I am best to ignore the letter or will I end up with debt collectors at my door if I do. Or is it best to appeal through the IAS despite me reading that this isn't very independent on other forums.
Iv never recieved a parking fine and I am now starting to worry about how best to proceed? Does anyone know what the ' debt recovery procedures' are or what do they involve?
Any help is really appreciated
Thank you

You have posted on someone else's thread so will get no replies. You need to read what is on page one - clue...page one was linked in the thread above yours...did you post and yet not read the links above yours?
NO THREADS NEEDED about debt collector letters ever again please, just read the forum instead.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes I understand this is on someone elses thread but it is not clear on how to create a new thread so this was the closest thread topic I could find that is similar to my current situation.
Apologies for any frustration caused I was merely just seeking advice.0 -
