Would you just ignore G24 coupon-mad? Or complain to the retailer etc..

Complaining to the retailer is always a good idea.

Ignore G24 (unless they actually make a court claim)

Do not ignore them, report them to the Tax Evasion Hotline.

This company appears to have a problem with v.a.t.

If, as they claim, this is contractual charge, it is a fee for parking, and thus vatable. Have they accounted for vat on their paper work?

Ask them for a vat invoice. If they ignore your request, (which they probably will), it is a useful stick with which to beat them if it ever gets to court.

You are correct there is no breakdown in charges. There is however a VAT number at the bottom on the CPCN.

Looks like they are VAT registered:

    VAT Number 906867882

The answer is both. It's not 'or', it's and. Ignore G24 AND complain to the retailers instead.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks Coupon-Mad. I have seen that they dont do court, I will complain to the retailers as I have 4 separate receipts, but apart from that? Dont bother with the POPLA/BPA route?

There is no POPLA/BPA route with G24, they are in the IPC.

If POPLA had been an option we woud not tell you to ignore it, we'd be saying try an appeal and POPLA. But this isn't that situation and there is no appeal worth trying.

This is my first time posting on a forum so hope I'm doing it right?
Today I received a contractual parking charge notice from G24. I was permitted 90 mins free parking and was actually parked 171 mins.
They have sent me images of my car with time sramps of when I entered and when I exited the car park. I have a £50 parking charge if paid within 14 days if not it goes up to £90.
My husband says to just pay it. On asking others for advice they have said to ignore it. What is the best thing to do in this situation. I have no receipts to prove I was in the shop all that time. I have been into the store and without a receipt they are unable to help me.
