Hi everyone. Thank you for popping in too Primula
Yes, I got to final interview. I have to do an aptitude test before I go. I have never done one before and I (on the suggestion of one of my besties) tried a couple online and I was terrible!!!:( I'm hoping that the one they make me do will be relevant to the job but the guy says everyone has to do it in the firm, regardless of position. Anyway, I have a login for it and will do it later today. Fingers crossed.
Spoke to my besties over the weekend and they are totally all for it. They couldn't have been more encouraging (that's just one of the many reasons why I love them so much and don't have many other friends). I still have little niggly things in my mind but just stupid stuff really. It probably would be the best thing for me, I'm just apprehensive. Besties said I can go along and if it doesn't work out then I haven't lost anything.
I was manically busy on Friday and on a half day so didn't get a chance to come on here. Was payday so all accounts are balanced but no overpayments. The blimmin' credit card wanted them all!!
Anyway, just need to wait until 1st for dd's to come off and then I can relax again for a couple of weeks.
School holidays have started here. Luckily LMG can entertain herself and she has a bestie living near and grandparents down the road. I still have a wee bit in the CSA account so sent her £10 as a wee extra. I think she is going into town tomorrow.

Ooh, meant to say Lou, I had points vouchers for Mr M where if I spent over £30 I got 2000 extra points and if I did that 4 weeks in a row I would get a bonus 2000 points. That's why it has gone up so fast. I shop there every week and the budget is £40 so I'm not going out of my way or overspending (purposely overspending, I do go over budget accidentally every now and then). The bonus 2000 hasn't hit my account yet so I emailed them yesterday.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Hi there
Just stumbled on your diary and had a rea through. You sound very focussed so I'm going to subscribe and hope it rubs off on me!
I sympathise with the duaghter sneeking things in the trolley, I used to do it too and now realise why my mum was so frustrated with it when she had bidgetted a certain amount. Luckily my little boy hasn't reached that stage yet... but I'm sure he will.
Also well done with the points an vouchers. I never seem to be able to manage a reasonable amount with them, so tend to stick to sainsbugs and get my nectar points. (it works out cheaper for what I buy and is so much closer)January 2015 - LBM
MBNA - £1697.96
Savings - £51.37/10000 -
Good luck with your job.............hope the aptitude test went well x0

Hi All
Hi HarrysMummy, thank you for posting. I understand what you mean about the points/nectar. Mr M's is right across the road from where we live so LMG and I walk there on a Wednesday. Doesn't make much sense to go elsewhere unless we are out and about anyway. I do pop into other supermarkets at times but Mr M has what I need and most of it is priced ok for us. I do have a nectar card and I use it at Mr S if I pop in there any time. I'm sure your wee boy will reach that stage
Quickly:
Passed my exam this morning so I now hold the AAT Level 5 (Scotland) Certificate in Accounting.
The aptitude test was AWFUL! Fortunately (I think) the company still want to interview me. Will keep you posted.
£2 coin and some other change to the sealed pot today.

Thank you both very much
All dd's off the account today. The loan and mortgage balance are not showing up yet. The mortgage is showing the interest for June so I popped across £3.87 to make it a nice round number (when the dd shows up). I like it rounded
The loan interest is not showing yet but I'm not bothering to round that one anyway since I make at least one small payment every week. To round the bills account off I have transferred £2.48 to the loan so current loan balance is £19,389.53 and I will update that once the balance is updated with the dd and interest.
Need to do a meal plan and shopping list for later. Might add salad to the plan again this week. We both loved it a couple of weeks back and it's warm again!
Nothing for the sealed pot today but it won't starve!Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Oooh it's roasting today!! Love it. We had terrible thunder and lightening during the night. Just about everyone in Edinburgh is talking about it. The sun is shining today though which is nice as it has been warm but very cloudy the past couple of days.
Mortgage and loan balances at today are as follows:
IO Mortgage -£89,980
Loan -£19,079.11
I paid my £5 reward from BoS account across to the loan today. I have taken account of that in the above balance. The interest on the loan was £1.15 less than what I calculated it at. I never get it exactly right but better to be less than more
Was £1 odds over the grocery budget yesterday but nothing really that could have been avoided. LMG is on holiday from school (they finished up on Friday here) and she is in the house a lot so needs more food than is normally there. Swings and roundabouts as normally I give her lunch money so it all equals out really.
I need to remember to take a meter reading later. I usually do it on the 1st of the month but I completely forgot yesterday. I'm keeping a note of the credit on that account.
Got 82p to pop in the sealed pot today. I bought fizzy juice this morningJust had a wee craving.

Hiya
I can't believe school's finished already up there! Littley finishes on the 17th yet other schools in our area finish on the 23rd and I thought that was early lol.
I always try to calculate the interest too and never get it right - I think credit companies have a secret way to calculate it and won't tell anyone!
Bet the air is much clearer now that you've had your storm though. We haven't had anything so it's quite muggy and close. Lovely sunshine though so not complaining at all.
Have a nice afternoonxx
