Just to update you all. I received a letter saying my case has been transferred to my preferred court. About a month later I received a letter from CEL saying they as no longer pursuing this case.
Thank you guys for all your help.
Good luck with all your claims.
I have since got 2 parking tickets cancelled from local authorities. 😊0 -
please contact your local court and ask them to confirm that the case has been dropped , cel have a habit of telling lies and then going for a default when you fail to turn up
DO NOT trust CEL0 -
Don't forget to double check with your local court that the case is indeed cancelled. These crooks have form for telling their victims that the case is withdrawn when it's not & turning up on the day & winning a default judgement because the defendant didn't show up.mumwantsjustice wrote: »Just to update you all. Mind you, they normally do this by phone, as there is no paper trail. For them to send a letter saying they have discontinued, and then proceeding (and getting a default), they are setting themselves up for serious consequences with the court.Don't forget to double check with your local court that the case is indeed cancelled. Still best to check with the court, as I would put nothing past CEL in terms of underhand and unlawful actions.0
