*Runs in, waves madly* I am debt free, yay!!!!
This thread has really been the making of me - my posting has been so infrequent lately, but the DFW wannabe ways have become embedded thanks to the support in the early days, and I've got there in the end. My debt was never at a level that I'd lose sleep over it, but it wasn't really getting smaller either. Then I had my LBM and decided I didn't want to have debt anymore, and that I really had no need to be.
I'll stick around and post when I can and when I have interesting stuff t say - my DFW things are always so dull and low key! Next step is to add to my savings for some needed home improvement then try to be a MFW, though I don't reckon I'll crack that in a while!
Congratulations Ratison :T:T:T:T

CAN NOT BELIEVE IT. FEEL LIKE VICTOR MELDREW.
Just had to update tomorrow Mr T order. Gone from £40 odd to £110 as DH and DD require a few little things for one reason or another and I knew it was stupid of me to not just add the stuff on as we really need it. But £60 REALLY!!!! Think I may be just a little mean. Sorry all. Rant over.
DS had 1 hour nap last night from 5 to 6 a.m. He will work on tractor until at least midnight and then possible sleep until 6 am so he can pull a 24 hour shift again and possibly 48 hour if weather looks dodgy. I know it has to be done, but it is such a worry and I get so cross when H and S people tell farmers to wear a knot to remind them to come home safe, like really they do this by choice. We love our men just as much as other women. We just live in a world with nature playing its part and nature is not always kind to men.
Off to bed, maybe I can sleep for DS?0 -

Not achieved much on my list today - lots of distractions - son being ill, freeglers chopping and changing their minds but best of all winning another comp - 32" TV & Sky for a year - am in shock, I have been entering comps for years but have never had a year as lucky as this is proving to be

Congratulations ratison and stay safe Maria's son

I've not been posting much and I'm clearly rubbish at moneysaving and debt freeness as I've had to transfer money back from my emergency fund as I'd gone over my overdraft limit which is all quite depressing but I think I just don't earn enough to effectively support three of us and save as well.
Today I was supposed to be at the printers but I went to the optician on Sunday as I have floaters in my eye (which is apparently not a problem) and flashing lights (more of a problem.) They couldn't do all the tests they wanted to and said if it got worse to go to A&E which I did late last night and they told me to go to the eye clinic this morning so I wasn't able to go to the printers.
The upshot was that the gel in my eye is shrinking (age related and perfectly normal) but it has remained stuck in one point which is tugging at the retina and causing the lights. In 99% of cases it comes away fine but I just need to keep an eye on it in case I am in the 1% where it takes a bit of the retina with it but it has put my mind at rest.
I haven't done anything money saving at all today, in fact we have fish and chips for lunch and Maccy D for dinner but I couldn't see properly at lunchtime on account of pupil dilating drops, no excuse for tonight.
I really need to make a list of ongoing money saving stuff to make me feel better, stuff like still using last years diary and not having bought any new clothes for God knows how long but that stuff is second nature to me, it's food shopping that's the problem, I'm a typical Cancerian, not happy unless everyone is well fed!
I bought my mum's birthday present at the weekend after transferring the savings back, it cost me £40 which was half what the Pandora bracelet I bought originally cost. I saw tons of clothes in River Island I'd have loved to wear when I was thin so I'm planning on printing out pictures of all the stuff I'd love to wear but can't and putting them on the fridge and my new mantra will be 'nothing tastes as good as being thin feels' and then I will treat myself to something.
Have a good week all

Just updated my list, everything done :j nearly didn't do the shredding as it is not exactly my favourite task, but the thought of coming on here and admitting it was scary especially when I rememeber back a few weeks to Bob threatening someone

Ratison & Ziggy congratulations to you both
Bob good to hear ds is feeling better, seems like you say probably dehydration from a sunny weekend. My own ds turns into the incredible hulk if he gets dehydrated, it can get quiet scary, thankfully we usually spot the signs before it gets that bad. Particularly shocking in a person that is normally calm and reasonable. To turn into a shouting, raging, violent animal  a glass of water and he is cured.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
