Washing back in again.. it's hailing in Howden and we are next!! it's currently raining enough to get the house closed up!

This means OH cannot play in the garden and I get to finish filling the wheelie bins for tomorrows collection IF they bother turning up!! It is 3 weeks since the food and garden waste was collected.. if it doesn't go tomorrow the local rag is being contacted.. see if that makes the lazy freaks move!! I am certain they have cut the bin crews from 5 to 3 though!!

  • Well it has been a rather busy morning, I am just going to update my progress whilst eating lunch and then get some more done.

    Mad Monday - Master Bedroom
Do some course work (4 hours) - 1 hour done
Organise and schedule Avon round (I have not done this for as while but I am determined to build my round back up)
    Do m.s assignment
    Do volunteer work
Sew badges on scout shirt for ds1
    Dust the master bedroom
Dust for cobwebs in the master bedroom
Collect the kids from the childminder
Sort paperwork for interview later in the week
Fill in scout camp paperwork for ds1
Sort through the pile of paperwork at the side of the sofa
Find Mr T vouchers that came in the other day
Update progress on the £10 challenge
    Catch up with the thread

Once I have had lunch I think I will tackle the cleaning in the bedroom and then get the paperwork/admin stuff done.

Dusty good luck with the new job.

I shall wield a duster as best I can, but may lurk a bit this week - it's ok, just not feeling very talkative.

Anyone have any ideas what to do with 6 massive jars of mincemeat that I need to use up apart from mince pies?

If you're worried about a Best Before date I wouldn't worry too much. We had a jar of homemade stuff in the cupboard dated 2007 and only got around to using last year - it still tasted absolutely lovely and no-one got ill.

Good luck with the new job, Dusty.

Two rooms to turn around today and a shower room. Procastination central here ....
    Better is good enough.

    Hi all
2 loads of clothes on line and 3 pairs of trainers, washing machine is now on a cleaning cycle. Short crust done for the quiche tonight, potatoes peeled and cranks Belgian cake just out of the oven it smells gorgeous. I've been out to get sawdust for rabbit, I will make DD help clean him out, picked up some bin bags for more flinging.
Nothing much done in the kitchen apart from tidying up the mess I made baking.
Off to sort the rest of the veg for dinner.

This morning didn't go according to plan. After setting up ironing table I realised that as I hadn't got extra paid work this morning it would be my last chance to clean mils kitchen before boiler man goes in tomorrow, so nipped round. Mil had a bit of a melt down and got very upset, I ended up ringing the Drs after calming her down and putting her to bed. Stayed with her all morning, sorted out friend doing fencing (who's doing a brill job) had to go work but Drs been out, nurse is going to do a blood test tomorrow to check if blood levels are ok. Been back round she's calmed down now, so I've got a couple of hours to play catch up with my stuff now I've done work. Checked with friend about journey sharing for tonight's kayaking. Confirmed with boiler man he's starting tomorrow. Neighbours popped round with a beautiful wedding card she's made for another neighbours DD. need to feed boys, tidy lounge and kitchen and then make a start on the ironing I planned to do this morning.

  • Hi all,

Long day of paid stuff today, but I'm definitely in this week. My target is to get further down the lists than the middle of Wednesday. That probably only makes sense to me. natty thanks for list, willow hope everyone goes ok in hospital.
I'm off to get the small ones into bed and eat something, then I might do a bit in the kitchen. Got carried away this morning trying to get all the daily stuff done before setting off for work. I managed it, but was 15 mins late. Oops

    Hi flyfriends

Dinner scoffed and the washing up done, washing off the line some on the winterdyke and the rest put away. DD bathed, her ingrown toenail is back its all red and yucky again. Will see what they say at the surgery tomorrow. Uniform out for tomorrow no work stuff for OH as he's taking two days off.

OH had a telephone consultation with gp he now thinks it some sort of bug but he wants to run more tests. Need to pick up a prescription for tablets for cholesterol tomorrow which he will be on forever. Blood pressure monitor fitting should be within a fortnight.

willow hope all goes well xxx

Off to throw myself in a bath with my book.
