Then Monday afternoon we nipped into town - salad from Morrisons, post office, dropped off books and bags at Oxfam, Superdrug for the clearance section ... Normal Monday afternoon stuff or at least my aim was to try and restore some order out of the chaos.

So we went to Neros for my free hot chocolate and OH found £1.30 on his chair so I treated him to a coffee as well :D

This is a very small market town, dullsville usually but outside was an ambulance, docs car and the First Response car.

next minute various medics start running about and out if the Yorkshire Building society they bring a stretcher with a chap on, no shirt, all wired up and the medics were doing compressions on his chest.

They put him into the ambulance, doc brings the defribriator - you can see the ambulance jigging about as they worked on him. About 10 mins later they must have got the chap stabilised enough and the ambulance set off for the hospital - about 10 mins away followed by FR car.

Hopefully the man made it to the hospital ok

Seriously, who needs soap operas when you have this thread

As for the Brazilian blow dry :eek::eek:

I have managed to get dinner all prepared, picked up one of those Schwartz slow cooker chicken curry mix packets, had it for a few weeks now and finally got around to trying it out. If it is any good it is the sort of thing I will stock up on.

Talking about clubcard points, I got a DTD on an actifry a while ago. The only reason I managed it was the SA on the Customer Services counter was one I had never seen before. She did need a gentle reminder that it should be DTD, not just "the price it says on the SEL", but that is not the story! Not only did I get paid £4 to take it away, she did not remove the clubcard points as they often do, and consequently I have 8p fuel save on my card :D Never had that much, lucky to get up to 2p normally, but OH is grateful for every penny!

I like the slow cooker mixes but find they don't need quite as much water as recommended - I find it too watery otherwise :(

Those spiders are quick!! Just been in the kitchen but forgot to put the slow cooker on so just went back in, the same way as before, and walked through a spider web
